That BetterPlace.com site sure leaves a lot to be desired...
Basically a quick read tells me :
1) BetterPlace will own the batteries + recharge stations
2) The only possiblility for auto power 100 years from now is electric
3) Batteries and recharging will sell on a subscription basis [ similar to cell phone plan ]
4) Battery Replacement will be fully automated and take less time than filling a gas tank !
Hahahahaha !!
so they are :
1) creating their own monopoly
2) saying any other form of propulsion is doomed
3) selling customizable plans [ that cost much more than a standard plan ]- hence the cheap recharge will end up being not so cheap.
4) going to completly standardize the fit of these batteries into any car that any participating auto manufacturer makes regardless
of automobile length / height / options / etc.
Thanks for investing, Morgan Stanley and others, no wonder the USA and UK governments are bailing you out of "toxic assets"
