Alfa 8C is pretty. Even to Stevie Wonder.
I've only seen pics and I'm going to reserve judgement until I do see one in the metal...Edited by stephen300o on Friday 16th January 16:22

X1/9 - Pretty
Stratos - Great looking but not pretty. Jamieboys description above of the SZ also works for the Stratos.
YOU,HAB,OUTSIDE, NOW!!!!Stratos - Great looking but not pretty. Jamieboys description above of the SZ also works for the Stratos.
Anyway who needs pretty? Pretty is pretty boring. The Stratos is completely bonkers looking, and all the better for it.

The answer to this question seems to lie, oddly enough, in the mundane and the Japanese.
Honda S600
Mazda Cosmo
Fairlady Roadster.
Not a shred of brutality anywhere.
And the Germans could do it too. This may be a madness inducing two-stroke, but just look at it:
DKW 1000
Even mass producers:
Ford Consul Capri
Spitfire
Nothing here will take on the world with handling or performance. The Spitfire's 1500 seems decadent next to the DKW's twin cylinder and the microscopic Honda. But perhaps cars that are designed to perform lose some of the essence of true prettiness that, in my opinion, some of my choices have. The Datsun and Ford prized form before function and maybe that's where the prettiness came from, they aren't great cars to drive but the owner didn't pay for that. He, or quite often she, splashed the cash for the briefest pleasure available in motoring. The quick glance over the shoulder after parking up and walking away. The realisation that one's car really does look good.

AM V8, DB9, Alfa 8C, various others. I was first person down to my local Alfa dealer with a deposit with the Brera Concept was annouced as being a production possibility. The final design is okkaayyee, BUT no where near as lustful as the concept car..S1 Elise (maybe)
