Honestly, I think you're being a little bit

about a car that has, even the most hardened fanboy must admit, the aerodynamic, aesthetic and "suitability for purpose" qualities of a row of terraced houses, even if that's partially made up for by the addition of a mahoosive engine and a capacity to burn fuel that NASA might baulk at.

Really, you have no need to worry that PH is about to declare the McLaren F1 and other such icon cars as persona non grata, although the Countach does lose points for being absolutely useless for the school run wink.

Which is presumably why Lamborghini built the LM. Glad we've cleared that up biggrin

So you think it is nigh on perfect then?

Terraced houses were (in their time) the perfect solution for housing the thousands of workers required in central locations close-by to their places of work in the factories, mines and mills. The Victorian period is one of this countries most celebrated architectural styles and such houses still with original features command a high premium today.

Likewise, the LM002 was never intended to be aerodynamic and it's aesthetic qualities were for the purpose of being aggressive - something which seems to have taken over the modern day car design world...

Suited for purpose? Most definately. yes

I sort of meant that the LM002 has the aesthetic, aerodynamic and fitness for purpose of a row of terraced houses being used as a 4x4, but I take your point wink.

What on everyone of the many many engines they make for marine and automotive use??

Prove it mate?

Never heard of it with the Range Rover VM, we didn't have a problem in 10 years with it and I know where the vehicle is and its still running.
As you well know I was talking about the VM engine in the rangey which you have a peculiar love for. As far as proof goes, you'll forgive me if I prefer the opinion of difflock.com to your experience of one engine.
so basically you are saying that you personally have no experience at all with then. I'm not saying they are the best, just that they were much much better than some claim.

There is a silver LM002 on Autotrader right now for 50 quid under 60 grand. Another lotto win car for me.

Look, to clear any arguments up. We all know it's pointless, hugely expensive to buy, run and maintain, thirsty and totally inappropriate in these modern times, but all of us have the 10 year old kid inside us (not in a Gary Glitter way) going "wooooooooooowwwwwww!" This car illustrates what Lamborghini is all about, simply making the maddest cars for the super rich and schoolboy bedroom walls.
Put it this way. Paris Hilton is pretty stupid at the best of times, and is only classed as a "celebrity" because she took all her clothes off, but if you came home one night and she was sprawled on your sofa in only a dressing gown, you would.

I have actually been driving this a few times, it really needs some revs to go forward and it really is the most thirsty car I know of. Do not even think of buying one !!!!!!!!!!!!

This was in the under-bar thingy...

I remember having the life frightened out of me by one of these back when they were first around. All black, covered in mud, loomed up behind me on some unclassified road then blasted past when the road was wide enough and screamed off like a Countach on acid. I don't care how objectively terrible it is: I want one. Probably just as well I couldn't even afford to hire and fuel one for a week... I'd definitely go bankrupt trying to run one.
