"Bugger, I drove past their workshop today and so nearly stopped in to say hi. Knew I should have, looks great!"
Andy thought that might happen, so he took this picture especially for you about an hour ago!
I finally saw this car yesterday, and I can confirm that it is even better in the metal than it looks in the photos. It's nicely trimmed now, and still some details to finish, but I can't wait to see it in action.Andy thought that might happen, so he took this picture especially for you about an hour ago!
No idea how much the body cost, as the chap that made it runs a restoration firm. However, I do know that the method used, saved him a packet.
Couple of interior pictures below.

NBB: Again a big thank you to Andy Mitchell of Mitchell Motors for allowing me to post pictures of his project. Info on what he does here: http://www.mitchellmotorsltd.co.uk/

How utterly wonderful. As others have said, it is great to see modern design techniques coming together to meet geniune traditional craft to create this beautiful machine.
Please let us know how the event goes and also please let us know about the oily bits. Engine, transmission, suspension, brakes...
Many thanks for posting, fantastic and gets a huge

Very impressed indeed. Top work.
As above - oily bits info and general performance would be great although I'm assuming you could spec to choice (within limits).
One question - aerodynamics. Did you run virtual test on how the airflow would work or was it simply a case of design a sexy car and live with the results? I suppose as it follows a general generic-ish design of a classic that you' expect it to behave in tje same way.
Anyway, brilliant stuff.

The grid was large - 20+ - and Andy finished c14 (sorry, can't remember exact place as was not 1, 2 or 3!).
Has completed a few races since and a podium place is becoming a distinct possibility.
Re: Rollbar. He hates it but likes having his head attached to his shoulders, so puts up with the aesthetics.

Hi, new to the site but have read many threads. I have been designing cars for pleasure in Solidworks and I have wanted for a long while to actually build one of my car. I would like to know how you created the buck for your car in SolidWorks or if there is any source of information I could read.
Having been contacted over the last few months by PHers regarding this project, further information has been added to my website regarding the car if anyone is interested: www.3dengineers.co.uk
It is currently off-road having a supercharger fitted........Having been scared stiff in the standard car around the lanes of Dorset, I think I may well pass on a trip out in the revised version!
