Junk - no way, these are one of my favourite cars.

My dad has had a 96 GTO (facelift) for the last years and has been extremelly reliable.

Any car can unreliable depends on how well its looked after.

I will one day chop in my BMW 328 and buy one of these.

May be I phrased that wrong or you read it wrong..either way i was suggesting the r32 is a far better car..if you think otherwise your wrong.

I'm indifferent to the car and if the facts are incorrect, a shame.

However, I enjoyed the way the article was written and say thank you to the author for what I found to be an interesting read. coffee

why do people insist on slating the rx7 just because the engine scares em? I had one for about 4 months, and it was awsome. The fuel usage was very high, but then it did go like a rocket. It is also the best hadeling car ive ever driven on STANDARD suspension. OUt of the box 50/50 weight distribution and loads of grip. And the brakes were actually good enough unlike an imprezas frown

Also a standard r32 isnt that amazing, pretty similar in performance to the rx7/supra/300zx. You're just all hyped up because you see the 1000bhp monsters and claim its the best. If anything the supra has an even better engine then the r32, as at really high hp it doesnt decide to st itself all the time and throw a rod etc.

To the editor: Can you please get rid of all the damn question marks that litter this article. It may look alright on a Mac but it looks dreadful elsewhere.

As for the GTO's numb feel, would a complete set of polybush's throughout the car, strut braces and some coilovers improove the feel? I dont mind the fact its a big car, but if its as disconnected as people say then its a bit annoying frown

We had one at our yard for ages parked up. The interior was great, loads of buttons/switches everywhere and it looked great from the outside.

This vert has a folding metal top. Looks very nice too.

An awesome car in its time and one that still looks incredible today.

I think it is one I'd leave alone after 20 yrs and just admire other peoples fine examples wink

Toyota supra is one I'd consider though yes

In contrast, the Japanese have only recently started to shift from a position of combining German-style engineering arrogance with built-in obsolescence. No Japanese cars of this, or as far as I can see any, era were ever built with home maintenance in mind.
Sorry but this is rubbish. Japanese cars are built in a far more 'logical' way than most European cars. With them you get the impression the designers didn't just think about how it would go together, but how it would come apart again.

The main crux of the argument is that it's rubbish because it will break and cost a lot to fix. So then would that make Alfas and Ferraris rubbish as well?
I can see you've never worked on a 3000gt rofl
