Andy, do you still have your hi-lift jack around?

If we get the mercedes onto a trolley jack, and your roll under car thing. We could move the land rover up (with the broken clutch) tie onto that, and matt could then winch the mercedes backwards?

Could plan b) be:

Inflate tyre of land rover
Drive land rover close to mercedes
Jack up mercedes & place it onto the roll under thing, then jack under the other wheel
Use rope & hi-lift jack to pull the mercedes out of the way

Alterations?

Could Land Rover 3 not simply drive over said Mercedes? Perhaps not practical.

How about an intricate system of pullies and rope to use the Landy to pull the Mercedes out of the way from where it's parked?

Again, i'm not really being helpful, but I want to know what happens biggrin

Doesn't towing an automatic with the driven wheels in contact with the road foul things up mechanically?, hire car or brake the window is my vote.

Jack up one rear wheel, remove wheel, remove half shaft, put wheel back on, push car back.

Now this idea I like alot. Come on chaps give this guys idea a chance it's a much better plan than grinding the baking trays to dust and a really elegant solution if it reduces the friction enough. Maybe a few bits of board under the wheels and on the ground to keep the surface flat and make the pressure more even. easily the best idea so far.

ETA. Maybe a different lubricant too oil or washing up liquid maybe?

Is there a McDonalds within running distance? If so, go steal some trays, we've surely all seen the videos on youtube of the guys sliding round carparks on them, just snatch a few, put them under the wheels and slide it out the way, probably wouldn't even need anything to help them slide.

Have stupid MechEng phone the police to report an unknown car blocking their driveway. It will be removed in a few hours no-worries!

Looks to me like there is enough room to get a ramp on one wheel of the 944 thus it can get out on two wheels through the gap... worth a go I say!

Attempted with LM grease & WD40. Failed, timber dug in through the bin bags onto the ground below. Didn't tear the bags but it didn't move either way.

MechEng now covered in LM grease.

Fair plan but I think more muscle is required.

Aren't you forgetting a vital piece of information? It's POETS day today... Get confused MechEng to call you at work...
MechEng: Oi! Idiot!
You: Mum? Is that you?
MechEng: Get back here now!
You: (Concerned) Are you alright?
MechEng: I'm going to rip you a new one if you make me miss the flight
You: (Alarmed) Taken to hospital? Which one?
You (to boss): I have to go! See you Monday.

Good plan, providing boss is not a PH and viewing thread

Boss: Oi! Idiot!
You: Boss? Is that you?
Boss: My office now!
You: (Concerned) Are you alright?
Boss: I'm going to rip you a new one if you don't get on with some work.
You: (Alarmed) Yes, of course Sir...

Very good!! smilesmile

BTW my justification for parking so badly was that I was hungry & pizza was required. Parking there gave me the shortest & quickets walking route to the house.

got any lengths of wood?
a nice solid 4' plank will do.
jack up a driven wheel and place plank of wood under with the wheel about2/3 of the way along, angle the wood up enough to get trolley jack under it, secure in place with a brick or two.
repeat on other side.
so you got the car on a ramp now, jack the ramp on one side up with the trolley and she should start rolling off once you get it steep enough, you might need a bit of muscle on the other ramp to raise it too.
trays under the wheels on the ramp would be a plus.
