Good plan, providing boss is not a PH

Boss: Oi! Idiot!
You: Boss? Is that you?
Boss: My office now!
You: (Concerned) Are you alright?
Boss: I'm going to rip you a new one if you don't get on with some work.
You: (Alarmed) Yes, of course Sir...
You think he'd have seen it by now wink

Only one thing for it!

"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire: THE A-TEAM"

Ace thread, perfect Friday material biggrin

Anyway, my plan involves some trees. Lots of trees. Or anything that's circular. Maybe not straws, but circular stuff.

Get all of the circular things (preferably trees, preferably not straws) and put them in front of the rear wheels on the car. Lift the car at the rear and put the wheels onto the circular things and simply push the car forward using the newly positioned logs.

An idea utilised in building stone henge to get massive lumps of grey weight moved a long way, so we really should go back to basics and follow suit with this.

Breaking in is an option! ALthough I have broken into one merc before and it was a long job. Current plan is this:

Another mate picks me up with his trolley jack
We jack up each back corner
one person pushes car
one person on each jack
walk car backwards
lower car
celebrate
I return to work
I see Chris
I punch Chris
Chris and Andy have beer

It's a useful machine, and is required for hauling skis to the alps next week.

Is there a McDonalds within running distance? If so, go steal some trays, we've surely all seen the videos on youtube of the guys sliding round carparks on them, just snatch a few, put them under the wheels and slide it out the way, probably wouldn't even need anything to help them slide.
Surely this is the easiest solution? If you don't fancy stealing trays from McDonalds, then your local asda/tesco/etc... will have cheap plastic trays in them.

Jack up each wheel in turn and plonk tray underneath, pull car out of the way with a.n.other car.

It's what the AA do when they have to load a car that is stuck in park onto a lowloader, although with a winch and more expensive trays...

Jack the rear end up, on large heavy duty trolley jack, and thus move.
Hmmm not got a large HD one to play with, just a small size one.

I think I should prolly list what we've got to play with.

One guy who is a Mechanical Engineer but knows nothing about cars (only passed his test last week)
A small trolley jack
A 500kg engine hoist
A large selection of spanners and sockets
About 4 crates of Kronenburg (useful for making MechEng work)
No keys - car is in Park, handbrake is off
WD40
LM grease
Contents of kitchen (girls might dissaprove of kitchen utensil use)
oooh its just like a command task, quick nominate a time keeper
