how long will this 15% deal be going for? I'm not due a renewal untill December and when i enquired last time they where only ever so slightly more then the comapny i went with.

BTW this is fantastic news, i found on the couple of occasions i have called flux they have been really helpful and sent quotes through the post within 48hrs.

Top draw PistonHeads, top draw......
Hi,

This will last for ever.

Regards,
Dan.
Will just quote this for future reference!!! biggrin

Anyway, what do you think to my previous questions ( I have been through the thread and can't see them answered??):

I said:
I am buying a car in the next week or so. Will defo be giving them a call.

WRT the 25% discount on an approved driving test, what tests are on the list??

If you take a policy out with them (at the 15% discounted rate) and then do the test will they issue a refund on the other 25%??

Cheers

The Moose

P.S. If any of the Flux guys are reading this, I am sorry about refering to yourselves as they!! ;-)
Cheers

The Moose
Hi,

Sorry about the delay.

The 25% would be on the price with the policy taken out.

Regards,
Dan.

Would be intrested to know if there is a similar website where you can check your 'Insurance Rating'
You can check your 'Credit ratings' I just dont understand how some people get cheap qoutes and others get high ones, If I had loads of points on my licence and a high accident record, I could understand it banghead What are the factors that make up the qoutes, Is it Post Code?

Or it it the fact that I like a bit of Toast and Marmite when attending Goodwood biggrin

Hello,

There are lots of different factors that get included when having a quote Postcode, Occupation, Age, Experience, Claims, Convictions etc.
No 2 quotes will ever really be the same due to the different information

Dan @ flux: Mr "please send me your details and I'll look into it" . to be fair you do a good job BUT your company lets you down in so many ways. If your company didn't mess up in the first place, you wouldn't have to spend your life apologising.

I've had a very bad experience and stand firmly in the bargepole corner. I wont embarrass you with the details, suffice to say, never again. There are a great many performance car specialists around, just look in any performance car magazine.. I suggest the smaller companies offer better service.

Hello,

We are a big company and it is unlikely that we can please everybody all of the time.
We'll try to help out with problems and resolve them where ever possible,

i personally have mixed views...

- Im insured with AF when many others wouldn't.

- Kept sending me letters telling me they were cancelling my policy as I was having probs getting an alarm fitted (due to the car) - HOWEVER, when i phoned them they just kept extending it for me.

- I need to change 1 of my cars. The determining factor for me is the ins price. I phoned up with 4 or 5 diff cars and was told that i could only get a quote on 'a few of them' as the system wouldnt let her process all of them.

- On the upside the quotes all arrived in the mail the next day.

To summarise, I am currently a customer and havent had a bad experience with them. But that may be becuase i havent had an accident yet. Like other people have mentioned its the same with any big company - you cant please everyone. I know from experience, as i work for 1 of the major banks! smilesmilesmile

One bad thing is that if my renewal doesnt decrease significantly (by at least a quarter), due to the bad experiences other peoiple have cited, i may look elsewhere...

I began my Adrian Flux experience a couple of weeks ago.

AF beat my previous insurers already good price by £15, plus the excess was a LOT lower and they included legal cover. When I saw this 15% offer I decided to email them on the off-chance, as my policy is still at the cover note stage. I fully expected a "Sorry, try again in a year" but they said they'll give me a small refund to reflect the discount.

Thanks, Dan.

Would this 15% discount apply to new drivers as well? I am going to be 17 in a couple of weeks and therefore this offer could save me a lot of money of my policy as it is going to be around the 2k mark. Also would the driver course that saves you 25% also be applicable to younger drivers?

Greg

Hello Greg,

The discount applies to everybody. It is up to 15% all you have to do when ringing up is mention Piston Heads and the discount will be applied.
