RE: PHers To Get Up To 15% Insurance Discount With Flux
Discussion
Ash, I just tried to get a quote from AF and was told that because we're both less then 25 and my wife is younger than me then she MUST be put down as the main driver. However she maybe drives 600 miles a year and I'll be doing at least 10x that. Surely if I had an accident then I'd be accused of fronting and AF probably wouldn't pay out.
Is there any way I can get a real quote without a 'computer says no' attitude?

Yes, there definitely is. Can you ping me a DM with your surname and postcode, please? These are exactly the areas in which we'd underwriting and common-sense should, where possible from a broker persepective, prevail. Is there any way I can get a real quote without a 'computer says no' attitude?
Thanks,
Ash
Hi Ash, renewal time and I've had a quote through at £1192.80....a brief confused.com quote (without refining) has given the admiral group at prices from £650.
I like flux and the cover given so am happy to pay a SMALL premium for the DOC but near double is a bit rich...can somebody give me a call in the morning? - tried ringing but lines closed?

Yes, no problem. Can you DM me your details, and a convenient time before 5.30, and I'll get sorted for you.
Thanks,
Ash
Ash, I have two cars on a multicar policy with you, and 14 years total NCB.
Many moons ago, a driver could split their NCB (I think as I'm pretty sure that I did this) - can I do this now?
My joint quote is coming in at almost DOUBLE that if I had two policies with 7 years NCB on each according to online searches.

I'm afraid not. If the 14 years had been accrued as one policy, then when we issue the NCB at the completion of the policy, it will be issued in one certificate. In the same way that, if you were two have two policies running simultaneously, you wouldn't be able to add the NCB together.
Hope that clarifies, feel free to DM me if you'd like further assistance though
Thanks,
Ash
Ash, one additional Flux car ideal is a FLUX Rescue. I'm not connected with FLUX, apart from being a customer, but you might want to let others know of the price. I could get the same features from another major player, with a promise of a possible leg up the response ladder ,as I'm a Blue badge holder, but then I'd pay double.
i got my discount via another site, but at my age with my experience and NCB, nobody could match AF. Unfortunately AF couldn't match my geriatric site premium , but I got my car insurance through AF, WITH Rescue ,and my home through another site and made a profit on the the nearset compare site quote.

Ash,
Wondering if you can advise? I've got a 1991 Mercedes 230. Been on my motor trade policy the 5 years I've owned it. I'm not going to renew my trade policy. It's listed on the schedule and has 3 years NCB. Would you recognise this? Also, my other car (Lotus) has 7 years NCB. Would you take this into account too?
33 year old male, postcode L35, social and commuting only. Parked on drive. Clean license. 3 non fault claims in the last 4 years with excess recovered on each occasion. Long time Pistonheads regular!
Many thanks

Hi Ash, I've just run a quote via the AF website, but couldn't see (bar the 'how have you heard about us?' question) where to claim the PH discount? I've had insurance with you on my M3 in the past, but have another car I need a quote for - using a 5 yr NCD. Will await email quote but where do I go from there?
Thanks in advance.
ETA I've scanned back a few pages and think I've found my answer.
I'm having to run 3 policies and move some NCD if I PM you my number can you call me tomorrow if possible?
Thanks in advance.

Re; NCB. We have a couple of schemes that could possibly take into account your trade NCB but, failing that, we can certainly mirror/give max NCB intro for have full NCB on the Lotus.
I've dropped you a DM with a list of a few more questions. Happy to get a quote for you, if you like!
Thanks,
Ash

Thanks for your DM. Have pinged you an email back re; us giving you a call. Not much point in waiting on the email quote, as a) it would only be a provisional quote and b) 70% of our customers get a better quote over the phone, as we can underwrite the risk in a more detailed fashio
Thanks,
Ash

That's great to hear, "Who me ?".
Thanks for your feedback. We have an array of additional products which, when compared to our competitors are streaks ahead, in terms of value. Glad to hear that you're taking advantage!

Unfortunately someone your end had omitted the named driver when they ran the on line quote this morning. However, I have taken it out with you, despite being higher than expected, as the policy seems better than offered elsewhere.
Thanks.

Just had my renewal come in for the Volvo and it's the same as I paid last year give or take a few pence. I'm not even going to bother comparing the market or getting confused.com even if she wants a baby Oleg even more than a real one..
You have my business (x2) for another year.
