I just called Adrian Flux (used call me function).

Just wanted to give some feedback. No hard feelings btw.

First of all, I think if there is no online quote system, the call taker (customer services) should make the caller feel a bit more welcomed. I felt like i was being questioned and not a warm conversation. I understand the system Adrian Flux Call takers are using would be similar to the one we use to enter details online and also the questions, but the call taker should at least make it a bit less reading straight off computer in a reading manner. Because of that, some of the questions were asked again that were answered before.

Also, the call taker asks if you are a member of any forum or a car club but don't ask which one. How does the 15% work then?

Also, first thing was asked when I called was (after if i would like a new quote and for which car) was what is the cheapest quote I have found and from who. It makes sense but when I said I would rather not, i was told it's needed to give me competitive quote. I understand that Adrian Flux would like to know to beat the quotation, but it shouldn't be needed at first instance. Maybe towards the end?

Also, the car details (Make model) was asked which is totally fine but at the end I was asked the Reg number of the car which found the details of my car and was read back to me. I think it would be good to ask this at the beginning (just to save both caller and call taker some time) and to have to accurate details from the DB.

As I said, no hard feelings and I am not venting. I just thought to leave a feedback as I have always been on forums during my driving life (CIVIV, MR2, FTO, BMW) and saw Adrian Flux around.

By the way the quotation i was given was £6xx more than known insurer from the market comparing sites :-) I am 32 with 9 years NCB. So I have not gone with Adrian Flux this time (my first time). I have another car and my NCB are on them so I would be cancelling the insurance on that first before insuring my new car and using my NCB on that.
Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, it is always appreciated & comments taken on board and passed to the relevant staff.

We do have a strict FCA regulation in place and data capture procedures which all staff have in depth training on. With regard to asking a target price, I can see you appreciate that we do ask this as we are a broker, so if we can approach an underwriter & explain that our client has had X amount, they will often improve on it whereas if we quote blind, it is just the calculated rate (Which I can also appreciate will sometimes be more competitive anyway!)

By all means if you can DM me your details I can trace the call and have a listen to it & will pass feedback to the relevant department? And also happy to take another look at your quote as I'm surprised we were so far out.

Again many thanks for the feedback!

Kind regards,

Jordan

Just putting in a good word for Adrian Flux, I gave them a call because of the PH connection. They've set me up with a very good price on insurance using my Irish NCB on moving back to the UK, lower than online quotes. The telephone manner of the person I dealt with was above and beyond business-like, she was friendly and extremely helpful. Overall the easiest quote and cover set-up that I've had.

I know this thread was started in 2009 so is the 15% off still active?

Shame as I insured my Mercury with them in the summer and it was pricey and only as a second car, yet they were the only company of the many that I called that were happy to quote on a big ugly Ford Sedan that no one in their right mind would nick and is not worth a lot.

Much more expensive to insure on TPFT then my Beemer which is insured elsewhere for a lot less on fully comp.

Hi,

The discount is still on offer! If you like you can DM me your policy number and I will make sure you have the discount on the policy.

Will flux do a classic limited mileage policy for under 21s?

I know they wont do named drivers under 25 on their policys.

If so can you get in contact with me? Thanks

It's ironic that when I got a quote without being a member of any forums, when I was the price didn't move?

Hi,

We offer a classic style policy as well as limited mileage discounts.

If you DM your details across I can arrange a call back from our quotes team.

Hi,

Sounds odd. Was it a private car policy? Not all of our Commercial policies allow a club discount but the cars should. If you DM me your details I can look into this.

It was. I've found it for well over £180 cheaper from a competitor.

WOW well thought I would give AF a go as i've used them in the past for kit car insurance.

Car Gt86 14 plate standard car no mods. clean licence, i minor accident in 2013 50/50 total clam was under £380. and only accident in 20 years of driving. Wife 38yo. 5k a year. and no commuting

So a pretty much no risk or little risk. Wife was hit when parked but old insurance wanted 50/50 which I was not happy with but after 9 months of the insurance company doing fk all the wife went for 50/50

This was for my wife with me a named driver. Said about the 15% discount.

And the result. Double what 3 other company's wanted

Shame
