RE: PHers To Get Up To 15% Insurance Discount With Flux
Discussion
Hi Ash,
Having some trouble, unfortunately I had to move from flux this year as you couldn't get within 100% of the quote from a competitor, however getting the proof of NCB is akin to blood from a stone.
I have asked multiple times, always been assured it was on its way (email), sent numerous emails without response and hours in telephone queues, not helped by the office not being open outside my working hours.
Despite all promises that it has been sent nothing has been received to date, I've allowed the 24 hours stated each time and have made sure to check the "junk" file.
Can you help please!

Sorry to hear this.
Could you drop me a DM with your policy number please? I'll personally look into this for you.
All the best,
Jordan
Hi I have just taken out insurance with Flux for my MGF.
I'm looking at the agreed value section and you require a photo of the entire engine bay. Accessing this on an MGF without tools is not easy. It's inder a bolted deck under a carpet under the hood.
I don't have any DIY capability and other agreed value insurers don't need to look in the engine bay.
Is this something I have to do? If so, I'll be cancelling.

I've received this via DM and am currently checking out what we can do.
I'll be in touch!

Disappointed with Flux - I had my 370Z, MX-5 and Rover insured at great rates last year. I've bought a TVR, which apparently AF are specialists at insuring - so you can imagine my surprise when I rang up to change my policy over, and the girl on the other end didn't know what a TVR was and didn't think Adrian Flux were interested in TVRs. Consequently I was told that I couldn't get insurance from Flux.
I rang again for a brand new quote and, even having given the best price I'd received elsewhere, was told Flux couldn't get anywhere near that price because, as the chap on the phone said, "lots of people crash these cars".
I was very pleased with my existing policies on run-of-the-mill cars but unfortunately I'll be cancelling my Flux policy next week and taking my business elsewhere. A bit of a shame and I'm still very surprised that you guys were so far off the mark - the quote I got was twice as high as the figure I received elsewhere and was lacking in extras (DOC cover etc).

First of all thanks for taking the time to post some feedback.
Would it be possible for you to DM me your details so I can check out exactly what has happened here? All telephone calls are recorded so it will be easy for me to trace these and also then investigate why we were so far out on price.
Kind regards,
Jordan
Hi Jordan,
I've just got a few questions regarding my insurance, its with Flux Direct on an MGB GT.
I have just had a look at my policy details, and the date that I passed my test and the date that I purchased the car are both wrong for some reason. Do I need to call up to correct them?
Also, I have recently started to rent a garage to keep one of my cars in. The garage is a 5 minute drive away from my house, so not at the same address. Usually it is the MG in the garage, but if the weather is nice or I get home late/will be leaving early I leave the polo in the garage and park the MG on my driveway, this is what I told the operator on the phone when I first got the garage and they told me I couldn't do that. Is there anyway to change my policy to suit this? i.e. 90% garaged + 10% driveway.
Can you also explain exactly what "006 Exclude Theft Cover unless Garaged" is? It makes it sound like the car is not covered for theft anywhere but the garage, so what happens if it gets stolen when it is parked outside the shops?
Thanks,
Kyle

Thanks for the message.
Could you DM me your policy details, along with the corrections to the dates? I can amend those no problem.
I can also check the garaging situation out if you can include details of where the garage is (Post code ETC)
The garaging endorsement is (If on your policy) the vehicle is declared as garaged, it must be kept in the garage overnight (Whilst at the home address) for theft cover to apply. This obviously doesn't apply if you are on holiday with the car or staying away, it just means theft cover isn't applicable if you are at home and the vehicle is left ungaraged if you've stated it will be garaged.
I'm more than happy to look into any of this further if you can DM me your details.
Kind regards,
Jordan
I don't want to sound like an insurance but just got my rennewal through Flux. I've been with them for 8 years, renewal is £613.23.
I thought I could get it a little cheaper since I've now got 8 years no claims (but 1 not at fault accident) so went on a comparison website and the cheapest was £245.44 (with Hastings Direct) and the quotes went up to £283.98 (with Allianz). Even taking the more expensive insurance would save me £329.25!
Is there any chance this could be met if I call up? I'm happy to stay with Adrian Flux but not at that kind of a premium.

Sorry for the delay, I was off for a few days.
I'm surprised we're so far out and if you can send me a DM with your details, I'd be more than happy to look into this as I'm sure we will be able to help.
Kind regards
Jordan

No problem Jordan. I'm surprised we're so far out and if you can send me a DM with your details.
I called on Tuesday and have been given a more sensible quote but I've sent a DM with some details. Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks.
I guess this might be the best place to ask.
I have just bought myself a Porsche. I have no allocated parking at my home, instead we have a permit parking on the road. My last car got all sorts of scratches and bumps though 'life on the street' so I have rented a garage about 300 metres from my house for my new P&J to live in.
Looking through the comparison sites I am getting about £550pa parking in the garage and about £300pa parked on the street.
I'm assuming the premium hike is because I have been required to tick the option 'kept overnight away from my house'. This makes no sense to me. I occasionally have to park further away from my house than the garage is due to lack of parking places! I'm sure when you tick 'garage' on a policy there is an assumption that the garage is on your property and I don't want to put myself at risk of have a potential claim refused if I was a little creative with the facts.
I will speak to actual people rather than computers tomorrow but perhaps someone can help/offer advice here too?
Thanks
