Are there any performance stats for it? 0-100mph, 1/4 mile trap times, top speed etc.
Apart from 50 - 70mph in 1.9sec? Damn, that's brisk!
Ideal for blistering B road overtaking moves!

Nice one! I love the XFR but can't afford one and was wondering who if anyone would be brave enough to not buy the default German super saloons, because no matter how good the reviews its real people with real hard earned money that will save Jaguar. You, sir, have cheered me right up. Hopefully you've ordered a black one and will cherish it for four years, carefully running it in up to 80,000 miles, whereupon I'll snap it up from a PH classified.

An XKR 5.0? and from where?

Must say the the new 5 litre XK is nearly as quick as the 4.2 XKR.

I really like the XFR but I think the new XJ is going to surprise us all even more.

as it happens spectrum blue with ivory interior, like my old 4.0 lt XKR, the new 5.0lt comes fully loaded and £30k cheaper than a fully loaded Aston V8 4.7 , and 510 BHP and nearly 500lb of tourque on a smooth ZF box, none of this crashy lumpy semi auto manual boxes

how can you not? the overall shape is very similar as are some of the other features. At a distance they do look very similar.
I know it's a massive contradiction but when I see a Mondeo it reminds me of an XF but when I see the XJ I think it actually looks nothing like a Mondeo!

rantingAny person that states on this or any other forum that the XF looks anything like a Mondeo should be publicly hung drawn and quartered, then banned for life

If there is one large saloon it DOESNT look like its the the Mondeo, got way more in common with an A6 or GS300 than these.

Other than the fact its basically the same size, there are no basic styling features in common, even at 100m, let alone close up.

If you cant tell the difference between these 2 designs you have no right to call yourself a car enthusiast, its like mistaking Ronaldo for Beckham or Kimi raikkonen for Heikki Kovalainen! Let alone the fact that anyone on here aught to be able to spot an RS4 from an A4 or M3 from 3 series at 100m, so saying you can mistake a Ford for a Jag is pretty much blasphemy smash

You should all be ashamed of yourself, go away and think about what you have done nonogetmecoat
That goes for CTE and Prometheus too

I don't care what engine or peformance it possesses, it looks awful - the front end looks nothing like the concept. Why bother designing a stunning concept
for the production version to look so poor in comparison.

Headlights reminds me of this:

Mondeo look-alike it's not. Get real you idiots who think it is.

Bloody gorgeous it is. I'm seriously thinking about trading the A4 for a 3.0 Diesel. Not quite an "R", but still a lovely looking car in a sea of otherwise crap looking cars - especially from BMW.

ETA, I'm surprised Zod hasn't dropped by yet to let us all know how much better a driver's car the M5 is.

Sorry you are hurt by this, but they do look similar, at 200 yards it would not be easy to tell them apart, espcially from the back.

This doesn't matter if you like either of them or not. There are other cars that look like other cars.

Feet, paces, yards, hell inches if you want. Just a distance that you may see or spot a car on the road and try and work out what it is.

In traffic just catching a glance at the back of an XF its easy to think Mondeo, or vice versa.

But how many Lexus or Hyindi's look a lot like Mercs? Or a Mazda 3 and a Fiesta.

Its just the general shape, outline and big features. Of course the details are different and once you are close enough to ID them then its a no brainer.

I'm sure I wouldn't get confused with a Mondeo if I was sitting in the driver's seat.

More important IMO...
