I want one. Badly. First new car in ages I've really wanted.

Mine in red with black leather please.

I am liking this a lot, especially in grey/ titanium with black leather...

At £27k it is excellent value for money - For a new car.

I guess it may still suffer Vs. 2nd hand Caymans and if I was to think about buying a car in this class, i think my money would probably go to Porsche (again)... But you never know!

A V8 version would be mega! biggrin

I wonder why they don't charge more than 27k for it, one would have to spend 44k for it's rival the cayman s
As with the GTR this is an absolute bargain
Because the interior of the cayman has more than 50 pence spent on it.

That interior really lets the car down.

True also it has a more prestigious badge and however for some reason they charge 4k more for it than the Boxster which also makes no sense.
imho I feel that they could charge just under the price of entry level boxster so about 30k and still sell them all day long

Of course I will wait till I have seen one first hand but I have a friend in the US who has driven one and he says that the interior is a completley different world to the 350Z, in his words 'it was like stepping into a BMW after getting out of his 350' but as I said I will wait to see for myself as I really didn't like the 350 and this is coming from an S2000 owner laugh

Who's that dodgy looking fella on one of the photos?
Steve Robbins, the NTCE engineer interviewed at the start of the artical.

I like the car definately going on my possible buy after depreciation list.

I'm still not 100% sure on the styling so will have to see one in the flesh. Other than that it looks a fantastic car and full credit to Nissan for having the balls to make it. Can we have an S16 now pleasE?

I was slightly dissapointed by the 370 in the flesh. It looks like a squashed 350 I reckon - not more muscular especially, just a bit squat.

It's not bad looking by any means, just didn't think it was a huge improvement on the outgoing car.

You can judge the quality of the interior from 2 badly taken photos without feeling the materials or seeing the fit up close can you? nice one must get you to do work for our QA department IL just email you through photos

I like it alot, very few cars I'd buy brand new but this would probably be one of them.

Although £27k gets a pretty basic car, be looking at £30k+ for 19", satnav, upgraded stereo, etc.

I had a S2000 before the Cayman S and the interior while not obviously luxurious, it is still extremely well put together with high quality materials - when I wanted a coupe the Nissan didn't even figure having sat inside a mates. Horrible interior.

The Cayman S interior is on a different planet in comparison to the Nissan. Doesn't immediately grab you but is a very pleasant place to be once you get used to it.

Personally I do not like the looks. The light clusters (both front and rear) look odd to me and the front air dam looks hideous. The interior also looks typically Nissan cheap.

My one concern though is, will this receive the Boxster Curse. In the same way all who drive Porsche Boxsters are accused of only owning one because they can not afford a 911, will 370Z owners be accused of only buying them because they can't afford a Skyline GTR ?

Good to see they have added an Auto version.

Might make a good 2nd hand buy in a few years.

I doubt it'll receive that attitude as the Nissan isn't an "aspirational" car for the masses.

Few things relating to motoring piss me off more than that throwaway JC comment. It is complete crap.

In the same way do people only drive Porsches because they can't afford a Ferrari? F430s because they can't afford a 599? Lamborghinis because they can't afford a Zonda? Zonda because they can't afford a Buga....

What's even worse is that it is usually said by people who have neither a 911 nor a Boxster. More likely a Mondeo driver who watches too much Dave!

Complete and utter boll0xs..99% drive the car we do because we can't afford a better one..I'd be in the south of france driving a Carrera GT if I could afford it.

Pretty dismal C02 emissions of 249g/km will kill off plenty of potential sales. That's dismal in comparison to the competition, which is all less than the crucial 225g/km limit.

Welcome to a yearly ar$e rape.

Id rather buy a 2nd had 350z circa £15k and Twinturbo it biglaugh as I think overall the 350z looks better inside and out, sure the interior plastics arnt up to scratch but who buys a car and spends their time caressing the dash board? or Id wait abit longer and buy a 2nd hand Aston V8, e90 M3, e60 M5 or M6 wink
