Me too, I was thinking about selling my 147 and getting something else, but today I realised I really dont want to.

However I have been lusting after one of these recently

This, but only because I watched Transformers last night. Lol, that took me back to my youth.

of course you should, why not

you get one life and life it you should

it will barely cost anything to run, cheap parts, cheap insurance, zero depreciation.

in fact, give me one good reason why you shouldn't

15k for this baby

If I had the money I would. Need to save up that's all, wonder if it could be some kind of investment? Something about 60's American cars, odd for a 20 year old eh?

At the moment it is confusion on what V8 car to buy, I keep coming back to the S197 Mustang (it is the only one that ticks all the boxes) but there just aren't any for sale for my budget frown.

Today I have mostly been thinking about:

S13 200SX

E30 325i

Brought on by a friend's recent purchase of an MR2 I'm wanting something cheap, reasonably quick and RWD.

I've been obsessing about BMW E30's for a few weeks. Put a deposit on a 325i sport (tech 2) yesterday without seeing it, or even pictures. Now I'm really obsessing about E30's smile
I followed one on Saturday. Stuck a note on the windscreen asking if they wanted to sell.

No call yet frown
Maybe they thought you were stalking them or something biggrin

Why did I go to the Cheddar Gorge meet last month? It has just got me lusting after another TVR. It is not the right time at all and the money I have in the bank is for home improvements, but I just cannot help wanting one, probably like this 4.3 pre-cat Griff.

The Mrs is supposed to talk me out of these things, but when we saw a cracking similar car on Sunday she said that she would also like one and would be tempeted to sacrifice the 'new kitchen fund' to get one.

What am I to do?! rolleyes

I'm pondering the possibility of running an XK8 next year having just got an insurance quote for when I'm 21... £1300 biggrin fully comp, own policy, drive other cars.

Mmmmmmmmmm...

Quite fancy a GTV, although I really really like the 03 facelift bumper/bonnet, so I'm going to price up those parts tomorrow to see how much a conversion would cost compared to buying a facelift model biggrin If it's not too expensive it means I can get a slightly older V6 in budget rather than a new shape 2.0

Have also been having a think about TVR S2/S3.

Also I have been quite impressed by the lovely black 58 Volvo C70 parked across the road.

Pretty much I think about what car I could possibly get when I'm 21 non stop biggrin

Corvette C1. With a new frame capable of taking a new LS1 engine, modern high performance brakes and a rather loud exhaust and a hard... must have a hard top . Black with silver coves and an oxblood leather and suede interior. Me want. Me want. ME WANT!

This car has started to enter my dreams ..

Rather like those myself also. Big running (servicing) costs I think though.
