I brought up the fact that I think the 5 pot in your car is derived from the original Audi lump (as a question more than anything) and you launch into 2 or 3 posts of... what exactly? Do you get into a lot of fights? Maybe in the bank, the nice lady asks if she can help you and you lamp her one for daring to address you?

Jeez.
i launhced into 2 or 3 posts of trying to find out what exactly you were getting at but you didnt manage to explain anything or answer me at all. now you say you were asking a completely off topic question for no reason.

perhaps you should just keep your obviously mentally challenged and retarded mouth shut then as you had nothing to say. or did you not expect me to post anything back? going on 30? more like 13!

Do you often start fist-fights? You sound like an angry little man. Insecure maybe? The guy was making conversation and you go off like he's just told you your cock is smaller and more pathetic than a Lidl chipolata, which it almost certainly is.

Rearrange these words while counting to ten: DOWN fk CALM THE.
actually i am renowned for having a rather amply sized c*ock.

"‘Do you see any marketing men here?’ he demanded. ‘No you don’t, because at quattro we are all engineers, and what you have come here to see is not marketing, but an engineering project, one hundred percent.’ "

WHAT a ARROGANT man this engineer is. And it would seem his arrogance is entirely reflective of his boss's.

Every year writers and auto enthusiasts alike come back to the same thought...why can't Audi make an affordable, communicative, and fun to drive
small car in the mold of the original Quattro. And every year (this going on since the 1991 end of the UrQ)-- going on close to 20 years now!!-- Audi says F you, Vee are engineers and vee know exactly vat ve are doing.

Good on yo, Chris for going truth to power against this "100% engineer"!!!

Bring on Artega.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick with my comment too. laugh

I wasn't having a go at you or your post, it's just the way that people in general make derogatory comments about cars they've never driven. It just annoys me.

BTW, I don't stick up for a car, whether I drive one or not. I did consider a TT and it wasn't the image that put me off, it just wasn't quick enough (and to be honest, my daughter would have been a bit squashed in the back!).

PS not to sound big headed or un sportsmanship like, but I've seen off plenty of TT's on track/road, but it is a bit unfair as my car is tuned for the track.
But you've not come up against a TT-RS yet, have you? wink

At the end of the day its personal preference and I'd prefere to save myself 43k and buy a M3 CSL and keep the change!
I'd do the same. The TT-RS will probably be a great car if the past RS models are anything to go by, but there's no way I could justify that price, CSL all the way!

I wouldn't have called the original Quattro affordable. In 1984 they were about £26k. At the same time a Porsche 911 was about £24k.

It wasn't exactly small either, being almost as long as an Austin Princess.

Easy there... I'm not saying the Quattro was that small, indeed here's the stats...173.5 L 67.8 w
But its a damn bit smaller than todays 911 at 174.3 71.2; so anyway the point I was trying to make was...Audi give us anything thats affordable and at least "fairly" small and fun to drive!! A simple plea really.

I doubt they'll do it. Affordable fast cars wouldn't really fit in their product mix. They've been trying for years to bring the brand image up to the equivalent level of BMW, Mercedes etc, and launching the R8 to move even higher up the line of competitors, why would they spoil all that work by launching a product which would essentially dilute the brand? The RS3 might be the closest we can hope for, but if it's ever released that'll be priced at about the same level as the TT-RS, so that's affordability out of the window.

Fingers crossed that they prove me wrong!

Of course they're affordable, I saw this documentary the other day about a copper who drove a nice red one when they were new.

Yeah, I saw the same one. From what I could work out, it looks as though he was taking back-handers to get in with the group of bent coppers he was after, which would explain how he could afford the Quattro.

(I quite liked the "You've just been Quattro'd" line)
