I like a lot of Chip Foose's work but in this case I'd prefer a plain Jane 67.
(sometimes the cars look better with the badges left on Chip)
Kudos for managing to get a Holden HQ Monaro into this thread, even by accident.

From your poll, I personally would have the Challenger or the Charger.

But honourable mention also for the Coronet/Superbee

but overall, my vote goes here:

Ford Mustang for me, though the pre 1969 model before they restyled it a bit. And it would have to be a fastback, in green. Can't possibly think why....
When I was a kid I had Bullit on VHS, (remember those?).

I watched that 13 minute clip so much that I actually wore that bit of the tape out.
Good old VHS biggrin Shame the rest of the film isn't quite so good, I've seen the whole thing once and the car chase countless times

'69 Charger got my vote (as long as it was a Hemi) as the list was too generalistic, and there was no '70 'Cuda listed, but '69 Mustang could be a BOSS429 so it was a close decision.

If the Camaro had been a '69 as well that would have been even closer as that would mean you'd be in COPO territory wink

I voted Charger, mostly because of the General Lee, although I prefer the front of and rear lights of the 68 model. Would have to be a 426 Hemi too.

Although personally my fav muscle/pony car is probably a 1973 Pontiac Trans Am SD455.

I do rather like these to (for obvious reasons rolleyes )

I prefer the yank racing 'homologation' specials of the time.

BOSS 302 Mustang
Plymouth 'cuda AAR
Chev Camaro Z28

I quite like some of the protouring stuff as well, something like this modernised black '69 Camaro (I prefer the look to the earlier and later models) would be the ultimate for me.

Voted for the Charger, But would have gone for a '69 Chevelle SS396.

And as we're posting pictures, Here's mine.

Out of that lot the '70 Challenger, but you just can't beat madness,

There *should* be one of these racing in the Histerics at a circuit near you soon. Keep an eye out.

That Dodge Challenger is beautiful. Purple suits the car brilliantly.
I don't have any pictures but Eleanor (Gone in 60) is the nicest muscle car IMO.

Camaro for me please

Sorry to hijack but it's not unrelated to the topic as it's about identifying a muscle car. If someone could take a look at this video and tell me what car the chap in the white shirt pulls up in i would be very grateful http://www.sidewayz.com/theater/12honkeys.html

That's a late 60's Chevy Impala fastback.

Purely because of their homolgation special 'racing' engines, IMHO, the three greatest Muscle 'Pony' cars were...

1969 Ford BOSS 429 Mustang
1969 Chevy Camaro COPO 9560
1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda

As there was no Hemi 'Cuda, Chevelle or Yenko Camaro I went for the Challenger. That Judge is nice too.

Sorry....none of those does anything for me, but then I'm more of a traditionalist.

The greatest 'musclecar'....

1963 Ford Galaxie 'lightweight' with a 'Cammer' in it.....cloud9
