And its proximity to Gilda Texter didn't hinder my opinion.

Some more modern muscle:

Probably most will disagree but I always thought the Pontiac GTO version of the Monaro was the best looking.

It's their VXR500 equivalent IIRC.

In the US I hear that a lot of owners change swap the front clip with that off a Holden or Vauxhall as they think they look better.

The grass is always greener I guess.

anyone any pics of the mopar nationals day

i liked the charger 58RT was the plate
the red camaro KOE 500M and the black pontiac gto amongst others, the lime dodge challenger sounded great.

also saw 'motown junk' in his silver camaro
Was that the Mopar nationals in the UK?

I missed the Mopar nationals over here in Ohio and probably will miss the Mopar get together at Carlisle (PA) also unfortunately. I MAY be able to be there for the Woodward Dream cruise in Michigan- I'll try to take some pics.

If it's the black GTo with the red interior, that car is seventh heaven to me. there's some photos of some of the older car shows on here:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/471412
including a few of that GTO.

There's only one for me, all the others look a bit frivolous compared to the coolest muscle car:

'69 Camaro for me. the '67 looks like a Cortina.
I beg your pardon.. Mine doesn't.

I voted 67 Camaro (obviously) but I'd really like a 71 Roadrunner.

I'd like any of them, but if i had to pick one, then it would be a '69 GTO. Specifically, the same one you posted. "The Judge".

What an awesome car.

EDIT: I would'nt mind one of these either. I would actually struggle to choose between the GTO, and one of these. I love them both soooo much. biggrin

I first seen the car in clint eastwoods "gran torino" (epic film btw!) and have fell in love with it ever since. Awesome looking car!

Two DVDs needed for you then:

Two Lane Blacktop - widely features a GTO racing a 55 Chevy
Fear Is The Key - features a Torino car chase (allegedly one of the great car chases but it's probably average)

I don't generally like Foose's creations but his personal Camaro is pretty stunning. It has subtle flowing lines and doesn't have wings, vents, or lumps all over it.

To be brutal I think the Mustang is far too too fussy, while the others a little dull and boxy.
