to the "what designer thought of that" etc -

read the text properly, it strongly suggests that the one particular south american owner probably specified it himself.

Wouldn't frog skin have seams everywhere, the seats must have looked like a patchwork quilt.
Goliath frogs and other species are a pest in some areas and hunted to reduce their numbers and also used for food, I'm sure some are sustainably farmed too. They can be large animals with several square feet of skin. Mmmm Frogs legs

Would you buy a car with an ivroy steering wheel? or dogskin carmats? Same principle.
Yes. I think Ivory would be the perfect choice for the wteering wheel and dash infills on my new Phantom. Must call RR immediately to get the ball rolling!

If you do go that route, don't specify the panda upholstery - it clashes very badly.

which fking idiot at Bentley thought of frog skin, retard
The way I read the article it was the South American customer who wanted it trimmed in South American frog skin, Bentley are only doing as requested.

It would be great if they could use cane toads as skin as they are a real pest in Australia, can't kill them fast enough.

I guess your right...but not sure about the tit part lol

Its just that a lot of thought goes into a car now more then ever. Designers are thinking - design for function and 'sustainability' ..so frog skin isnt really a positive move..thats my opinion anyway.

im no hippy and im certainly no veggy, i just happen to like animals and despise people/companies who profit from killing them for no reason other than to say ive got frogskin seats in my Bentley rar rar rar etc. Would you buy a car with an ivroy steering wheel? or dogskin carmats? Same principle.
Presumably then, you would be against a regular leather interior too? Made from normal cow hide?

If so, then fine, fair play to you. But if not, I just don't get this 'Frog bad' 'Cow good' train of thought, based on what reasoning?

What about cane toad? Big problem in Australia, they are culled, and they would give a decent sized hide for trimming.

Chap from RR just said exactly the same thing! I presume you must have made your thoughts clear to him.

Cars are designed for profit, end of.

If to be seen to be green means your going to sell more cars then take that route. If not your not going to bother.

At least you didn't have to replace the Minky Whale boot lining you got cheap from that passing Japanese research ship.

Im not so sure bump warty cane toad skin would work lol

the cows are bred for a purpose, for us to eat, they wouldnt be alive if we hadnt bred them for meat. im not sure if cows are soley bred for their leather? Like ive said before killing an animal for a luxury product is out of order. To survive yes, but not for some wealthy guy to stick his rich ass on.

So by your rational if the frogs are bred for a purpose (the Fence eat them) then that is ok.

Lots of animals are bred for purposes, like Bertie the chain smoking beagle

Erm, milk, butter and cheese come from them. Sadly, old cows do end up in meat pies and the hide may or may not be used for car trim. But if we took this to the nth degree, we'd all be wearng canvas and rubber shoes.
