Likewise! Beautiful cars. I've had 3 w126 coupes, but never a widebody like that one. Has to be black/black. The 32v AMG heads on the 5.4 and 6.0 v8's were problematic though, suffering oil feed problems.

As mentioned above, Hammer only referred to the w124's that got those engines.

I remember having a car magazine in the 80s that had a full page advert (for tyres or something) and the image was an 80s SL in Red with all the chromework in black - I think it was also referred to as "Sledgehammer" or something like it - whatever, it looked AWESOME - anyone remember such a thing or better still have any pictures?
