Hope it sounds like SL65's etc ears
If it's based on the 6.2, presumably it'll sound more like the SL63.

It looks like a turd. Very 350Z at the front. The whole delicate design of the 300SL cannot be replicated in modern safety legislation compliant styling. The Mustang was always blocky, the Ford GT always a sports/racing car so easily replicated. This is meant to be elegent and subtle and it isn't, it's frighteningly bad and it makes me cringe just looking at it thinking who is going to buy it - the Beckhams probably.

Strange how it divides opinion so much - I think it's the best looking new car since the Alfa 8C and gives even that a run for its money.

A bit of a 'Marmite' situation here, me thinks. I think it looks fantastic however and a good candidate to make silver cars look cool again (if they do them in silver).

I am not sure. Like the SLR, I find the car misshapen..nose far to long in comparison with the tail. I wish they could take a foot off the scuttle.

There have been a few new photos emerge, and thought i'd give them their own thread...

I think it's absolutely epic - i don't care if it's trading on past heritage...

It's doing the Ford GT thing, just as well.

Yum.

Not a bad effort.

Why do mercedes appear to be taking styling cues from Nissan? Looks good but the original look far better

Looks great imo, and I am not a fan of modern MB designs, other than the CLS.

No, that's a 911. More like this car which was doubtless inspired by the SL:

Oh, look what I found, a car that doesn't look like a 350Z with an SL kit stuck on:
