That battery charger looks very similar to my decent CTEK one - could it be the same?!
Made by the same people I believe Ones I have are badged Tronics which are TUV approved and come with a 3 year warranty.Negligible AC noise unlike a conventional transformer/rectifier type.
3.8A charge rate will not drop off like a conventional charger (until its nearly done).
Doh! Was hoping they'd have a low nose jack I could pick up.
Very happy with the Lidl stuff I've bought previously. As for the quality ... the company is German. They have more tests and quality control legislation than practically any country on earth - I'd feel happier working under a Lidl axle stand than a Halfords one (although, granted that's perhaps no the best comparison!)

+1The Germans don't things by halves - solid no nonsense kit is their usual
standard.
Look out for the TUV/DIN markings if you are unsure.
Safety tip: When working under the car, the wheels I've usually taken off
I place under the car, so if the car jack/axle stand fails for
some reason, I've still got the backup of the width of the wheels.
Better than nothing, I think.

I've got the wheel stand, which is pretty good. Got a spare set of track wheels / tyres on at the moment.
Might be tempted by another, for £5, to store my steel wheels / snow tyres...........
What is the advantage of a wheel stand over just stacking your wheels? Does it keep the wheels seperated or something and if so, why is that important?Might be tempted by another, for £5, to store my steel wheels / snow tyres...........

Today is Thursday
Apparently so, although I did have to ask someone - having two days off work mid week has really screwed up my mental calendar.Popped in to Lidl on my way to work this morning and came out with a set of screwdrivers, 2 boxes of sanding sheets for a random orbit sander and 5l of screenwash that's good for -60 if used neat and -20 at 1:1 if what's on the bottle is to be believed.

...axle stands are not something I'd feel too comfortable with getting too cheap!
You definitely won't like the £1.71 axle stands on the Wickes site, then! Edited by gareth_r on Friday 24th July 17:50

I've just invested in a boxed set of 22 spanners 6mm-20mm,standard.

open, ring and combination.
Not your usual drop forged steel rubbish, but proper
Chrome Vanadium Steel, complete with stamped DIN numbers.
A pound each spanner would be a bargain at 22 quid the set,
but normally on sale in LIDL at a very good £11.75.
This week a most excellent £9.99
Bargain.

Good advice...that's something I always do as well.I place under the car, so if the car jack/axle stand fails for
some reason, I've still got the backup of the width of the wheels.

Always have a fail safe in place...you can never be too careful especially with xx tons of metal over your head.
And Lidl stuff is really good quality, including their groceries.
Their all in one car toolkits (blue toolbox things for £39) are brilliant, I bought one for taking to drift events, everything you need in one compact box & nothing you don't. All really good stuff that lives up to almost daily use & abuse.
In fact I've bought several of the last two years & keep one in each car these days. I've also got one in the garage that I use more than my proper toolbox!
