Things like this are the reason I can't buy another mini.

With so many crazy mental engines available I need at least 10 + a few standard ones.

The B16 is the 1600 lump found in civic VTi's. It produces around 160bhp.

These guys sell a kit allowing you to dump a 400hp Honda engine in the front. Z-Cars sell a kit allowing you to dump a 400hp Honda engine in the back.

Surely I'm not the only person thinking what I'm thinking?
Actually a guy in Scuunthorpe did that back in the late 60's/early 70's

MIND YOU ..THAT WASN'T USING 2 x 400 bhp motors then hehe

Well that makes a Z cars conversition look ever so slightly overpriced... Granted, no one has been able to compare the 2 directly from an engineering and driving perspective!

Want aswell, really do need my lottery numbers to come up, saw a Mini around here for under £1000 the other day with long tax and ticket, nice little donor car

Spotted a Vtec powered Mini at a car show here in Tx- for sale, compete restore. Interior as new, suspension and transplanted drivetrain. Company offered a kit or whole cars.

It was only FWD, but was $20k... cheaper than the new base MINIs were selling at the time.

indeedy. I've had 5 cars with a B16 lump in. Just need to getmyself an EK9 to complete my B16 want list.

Though I am sure a B16 powered mini would suffice.

The B16 is the 1600 lump found in civic VTi's. It produces around 160bhp.
The early B16s in the EF Civic 1.6iVT were about 150bhp, then they got tweaked a bit for the EG and EK Civic VTis, these have about 160.

Then there is the Daddy of B16s in the EK9 Civic Type R which has about 185bhp.
