I know all about the bodykits that make the MR2 look like a Ferrari (well sort of) but does anyone remember or have a picture of the terrible one in the eighties that attempted to make the humble Ford Capri look like an F40 ? Feel free to add any other cars kitted out on this thread laugh

I did find this whilst searching for a picture spin

No it was an F40 based on a TR7, nicknamed the TR40
Look you cant even tell the difference

TR40

Ferrari F40

I do hope I havnt got the pics around the wrong way, as they are far to similar and easily confused
Its a TR40!!!!!! The horrible F40 kits were based on the Triumph TR7!

I definitely remember seeing a Capri based F40 , possibly a one off as no-one else seems to recall it , in any case this thread has been worthy of more than one belly laugh !

SO you want to make a replica of a Mustang? Fair enough why not start with a Capri? No?

You want to use a... WHAT?

FFS.
You'd want to use the obvious choice of car for such a conversion - a mk2 mr2 smile
It looks angry.
Not as angry as the owner will be when he realises what a cock he looks.

Seriously, how can anyone think that looks decent in anyway? rolleyes
If some of the flares and curves/bulges were removed that look/design does have some appeal to it though
So if it looked like a Mustang then? hehe

Looks like it has the Parthenon welded to the front of it. V. vulgar.

Referred to, I believe, as the "miniskirt accidentally tucked in knickers" rear bumper.

Although possibly not by the people who actually fit them.
