Now that looks like it should be used for target practise.

My 3 year old left me a voicemail on my phone last week saying that she had just seen an Aston Martin that looked like it had been dipped in molten silver (suspect my wife may have helped her out with the wording!). Even she thought it looked very silly!
Big thumbs up to the 3 year old that can identify an Aston Martin though biggrin

I don't think so. I like it too - especially in the colours he chose there.

Much nicer than the TT which is a little to army camo for my liking.

The chrome wraps don't look that good close up as you need to put a lot of joins in the material as it isn't really very conformable. A lot more than £1500 too. A certain footballer was charged over 10k!

I saw that chromed Benz in Edgware (London) recently.. It was certainly gleaming! Im sure I read somewhere that it was not legal here however? Something about reflections/dazzling other drivers etc.
Im not sure what to make of the whole chrome thing myself.. Kinda cool, yet kinda ott. Still, I vastly prefer it to the camo crud.

Each to their own etc etc, but I'd think very very hard about it if I were you. I saw a 997 turbo this week that had the full chrome treatment and IMHO it looked dreadful - incredibly tacky.

There's a 599 that I see regularly that's matt black, and even that seems to vary ie it looks great from some angles but terrible from others (mainly the rear, but I can't work out why).

BTW I assume that if you have a wrap done you can't really leave your car on the street as every **** that passes is tempted to take a key to it to see how strong the coating is.

Have to admit that I also like that arctic wrapping looks much better than the jungle cam'od tt.

At the time (2007) it was what I wanted to do. I would not even think about doing it now. Matt black maybe but not camo.

It's a con. I can still see it.

Chrome wraps remind me of those nasty Chinese model cars you used to get finished in chrome that slowly wore away. The Merc above doesn't look too bad but on the road, you'd still think "Oh dear, there's a bloke who is demanding you pay him attention" in a trying too hard sort of way.

In theory, of course, it shouldn't matter as it's your car, your taste...but in practice, it does. wink

Don't get a chrome wrap, get something original.

Can you get glow in the dark vinyl?
