Another troll that doesn't post what car he has on his profile.
He doesn't have one...

You can't start driving until you are 17....
The name Warwick Hunt does suit him, just repeat it a few times as fast as you can. At a guess as to what car ,if at all he has one , i would say it would have to be a Citroen Saxo badged as a VTR.The nature of his posts brings this to mind, I doubt he will let anyone know what he drives
He is from Teeside. Northern Monkey Hanger region. (http://www.phrases.org.uk/bulletin_board/18/messages/815.html) "What a Warwick Hunt".

What car do you drive?

I am not going to go on the offensive about what you drive.. I am just interested to know.
He appears to have joined the forum simply to slate Porsches on every thread.. Sad individual!

My friend used to have a beautiful white 930 turbo, 4 speed gearbox. It had been 'enhanced' to give nearly 400BHP..my god driving back from purchasing it scared the life out of me! IIRC 3rd gear took you to an indicated 130, awesome machine.

My Dad had one of these in 1980 and smashed it to pieces joining the M1 northbound at J2.

He always maintained that one of the tires suffered a blowout but has recently admitted it was far more likely to be driver error (bless, he had been carrying that story for nearly 30 years)

I LOVED that car as a 10 year old and I think it does look far more enigmatic and dramatic than the new cars.

I was even tempted to buy one recently just because it struck me quite how amazing looking they are all over again!

I rememeber seeing a 'MAX power' magazine (I didn't buy it) and it had stickers on it- one was a Porsche with a cross over it- another was a picture of a hotted up chavvy Nova and a "1" next to it and a Porsche "0" (like a score). It's the dim mentality of the culture- seated within jealousy also- a proletarian anti-elitist thing.

I can only dream until I graduate frown

Surprised you can get a 'Ceramic' turbo, since I would have thought the turbine blades would be pretty fragile/brittle.

Just found a video of one on Youtube making a lovely sound, especially on the overrun!

slight mods - that's a Ruf front spoiler and Veloce GT1 wheels - big reds as well
Great looking car smile

The top of my list of all the Porsche models over the years and in the best colour as well. Perhaps it's just an 80's thing, but I love the look of these cars they can look so fast just parked up.

Not had a chance to drive one yet, but it's on that to-do list.

What a great looking car. An old mate of mine said that he once dated the young lady at the time who was on the poster. She was from Leeds he said. (Not sure if it was bull). I was passed by a 997 turbo and a lambo Merc by Swansea and Port Talbot a couple of months back both with amazing presence but will they look as good in 20 years time ?.

Shortly after I first met mrs k, she realised I was a petrolhead into cars and bikes. She mentioned that (my now FiL) her dad had a nice car.

"Porsche" she said.
"Nice. Which one? Old or new?"
"Old-ish. 1980's I think"
"Round headlights?"
"Nah. Those pop-up ones"
........errrrrr.........
"Big? Long bonnet?" (Thinking 928S4)
"No! Short! Engine in the back. It's quite rare, apparently"
........errrrrr.........
"Fast?"
"VERY!!!"
"Looks a bit like a VW Beetle?"
"Yeah. Like that"

Turns out it is one of 50-odd RHD 930 Turbo SE's. Pic of his SE taken at TIPEC 2008:

He doesn't take it out often, and I get to ride shotgun in it even less. But when I do.............yikesrofl

Magnificent car.

Most Japanese OEM turbos have ceramic blades but I didn't realise you could buy aftermarket ceramic turbos.
I know you can have the turbo housing Ceramic Coated, Can you get an aftermarket Ceramic Turbo ?.
I had my exhaust Ceramic coated inside and outside in camchrome,I removed the air injection pump, 1 Bar Spring fitted and had the AFR's set up. The LE has a larger intercooler and oil cooler intergrated into the front bumper, and a different exhaust.I had a free flowing muffler made by Turbo Thomas. It was listed when new giving 330 BHP, Not sure what it is now was told by my mechanic close to 400 but i think he was guessing.

Awesome car - I love the almost-upright glass. Just a great looking car.

Plus, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive and turbo-lag - each one is something people mention when talking about losing it on a bend, so to have all three in one car is a fantastic achievement.

The 3.3 is my most used car in Forza Motorsport 2, in GT3 RS green lick

Actually, anyone got any tips for driving these, in videogames?

Pretty sure most owners of aircooled 911 turbos at this stage are absolute enthusiasts, I fear that you are a guy old enough to remember Porsche drivers in the 80s, but not succesful enough to be ever able to afford a decent car yourself. Some people would call you a bitter loser, but not me, I just feel sorry for you.

Fantastic. I absolutely love these cars and can't wait to get another. Not that I had a 930 mind, just a 3.0 SC, but would have loved a turbo. I think Mrs Mike has finally accepted that it's not a decision that's open for discussion, just a case of, 'I've bought this. How big of an argument are we going to have?'
