I think there are some photos on the interweb of it smoking off the startline at Prescott...
I saw BABS at the Goodwood FOS and that was pretty insane as well. He got the arse out.....in something as big as a wingless spitfire.
It was likely my Uni tutor driving Babs up the hill, I know he has done previously. It was his father that restored BabsI saw BABS at the Goodwood FOS and that was pretty insane as well. He got the arse out.....in something as big as a wingless spitfire.
At Wings and Wheels he sat in the paddock with it running , kept blipping the throtle producing smoke and flames from the exhausts which was spaectacular, the power output was incredible, after about 10 mins he turned it off and bowed to the crowd standing round it !
It was dropping some water by now and someone asked hi if it was normal or a problem ,he just said it had overheated a bit whilst he was ' Showing off ' a young lad asked him if he used it on the road and he replied that he would like to but it would be too expensive in fuel .....

I've loved watching it race for Donkeys years, first with Peter Morley, and now with Chris Williams. It is most entertaining when it has a pack of Morgan three wheelers snapping at its heels, like bad tempered terriers. On the straight it thunders ahead of them, only to have to brake early, and it is then overtaken by the entire field into the corner, for it to out drag them all again once out on the straight. It is the only car in a race that goes from first, to last, to first again at every corner

I've been a huge fan of this car ever since I saw it at Oulton's Hawthorn trophy in about 2008 - leaving constant black lines from the exit of Foulstones to the entry of Knickerbrook
Anyway, at Dunsfold yesterday I saw another Napier Bentley - similarly large, this one was French Blue and wore a more streamlined, art-deco 2-seater body. I was unable to find out anything more about it, but it has obviously been around for a while as it certainly had a very well worn patina. I'm assuming Mr Williams hasn't had ansidden desire to rebody his one, either.
I'm amazed I haven't seen it before, and I cannot seem to find anything about it online - any searches simply return results on its more publicised red cousin.
So, does anyone have any pictures or information on it?
