So, in summary, it's as underwhelming as it is overpriced, it has a Haldex, which is a bad thing, and nobody really cares about it one way or another. Job done VW.

VW will still sell their annual targets, so I dont think they're gonna lose sleep over the comments on here!

The wheels are shockingly bad IMO. Anyone know what the interior is like, I saw some spyshots of some hot golf with Recaro buckets in it a bit like the R26R Megane, (but leather etc).

I have an Edition 30 Golf GTI just now, (mapped!) and it is an impressive engine in it. Scrabbles off the line a bit, but is bonkers quick from 30-120mph. Nudging 350hp and seems totally viceless day to day.
If this new Golf has the same motor, there will be a few very very capable ones out there, once he mapping boys get their grubby paws on them! But 30k for anything nowadays is a lot of wedge! I paid £16800 for my Ed30 (2nd hand) and that was a bit more than I wanted too, tbh! It is tidy though!

So do Kia. Doesn't stop us pointing and laughing, though with the Golf R that'll be a "nice car, but HOW much?!!!!" kind of pointing.

Maybe this is a little bit too late, but, if you had looked it up a little bit further on other sources, you'd found out that the technology is no longer limited to SAAB a while ago. They rendered the technology out after first 1 or 2 years of their exclusive use, if I recall correctly.

j123 doesn't want to know. He's a bit of an angry internet poster as far as I can tell...
