Always liked these. Funnily enough me and a friend were talking about them just the other day and how much we thought they might cost if you could find one for sale now. We expected a lot more than this!

Screen-wash needs a top up on the roadster. Otherwise I'd buy it.

Doesn't this car have a paddleshift 'box but also a manual clutch?
Apparently due to cabin space being so tight that one does not have room to move one's elbow - or maybe it's to accentuate the car's motorsports heritage or something!
It's a proper sequential box, shifted up and down with paddles and, yes, a clutch. Funny thing is the actual racecar didn't have the steering wheel paddles (as it didn't need all that interior trim), it had a gear lever in the conventional position, but still sequential, push forward for down a gear and pull back to go up.

Is this the worst depreciating car of all time?
no...a Jaguar named XJ220 was much worse...

from wikki
Many of the initial customers were dissatisfied not only with the modifications to the original specification but the significant increase in delivery price from the original £361,000 to £403,000 ($650,000 USD). Another downfall to sales was the recession.

In spite of the drama surrounding its creation, a total of 281 cars were made and by 1997, few of these remained available for sale new at £150,000. Nowadays, it remains a sought-after collectible sports car, fetching £100,000+.

Assuming the roadster sells for £430,000 and an exchange rate of 1.1 euros to the GBP, thats a rate of depreciation of approx. 24,300 euros per KM!

yikes

But the Merc GTR's were sold for 1.4 million, thats a minimum £900,000 depreciation, beats the XJ220 i'm afraid.

In absolute terms, the most expensive car is almost always going to have the highest depreciation.

Tell that to Enzo owners. OK, so not the MOST expensive, but hardly cheap... And now less cheap.

Nice looking machine but why on the earth does it appear to have a couple of kitchen bins strapped to the rear deck? They have got to be the biggest cans (in car temrs) I have seen!

*UPDATE*

The coupe version has mysteriously vanished from RM's listings page. Perhaps it turned out to be a normal CLK with a very extensive bodykit...?

As are enzos.

There was an article in EVO a while back, if you'd bought an Enzo and run ot for 10,000 miles and sold it, you GOT PAID for driving it.

Also Zondas. I believe the early ones have appreciated a fair bit. And indeed Mc F1's

Always wanted one of these - meant to be a howler of a drive though as some others have mentioned.

Rather be putting my £400k towards a Zonda..!!
