Unfortunately folks like that enjoy nothing more than selective quoting to further their own arguement. The fact that we do have an active cycling forum will no doubt be glossed over if not completely ignored.
What is worse is that undoubtedly the members that did make silly comments re the cyclist that died, probably don't feel that way in reality. He doesn't legislate for an element of keyboard warriorism that will certainly occur when you have a userbase of millions.

I remember the thread - I seem to recall those that did make silly comments like those quoted got thoroughly lambasted. It's quite incredible how ingnorant that poster actually is.
I'm sure there are a number of idiots amongst us, and it's clear that the vast majority of us will condemn poor road behavior of any kind, but, as with anything, someone will poke fun, beit all the blind Blunkett jokes, the peedo Jackson, gay Gately, there will always be someone taking the piss and mocking what is ultimately, a poor situation for someone else.
Thankfully, most will see it in the spirit it was intended.
I'm a cyclist, I don't see any problems with cars going fast around me so long as a) they give me room b) don't cut me up
In return i'll do the same and obey the same laws they do (to an extent) I will however use the paths, because frankly, some of our roads are so piss poorly designed, they're dangerous for cyclists.

Ah looks like those wonderful moderators on the SheffieldForum have pulled the thread.
Hopefully it's becuase the powers that be here at PH have 'had a word'.
Edit to add they haven't pulled the thread, they've just pruned it.

whoops spoke too soon, (in reference to his new post on the sheffield forum thread: there was plenty of his abuse on there too)
edit: his last comment has now been removed & the thread closed, how long till he starts up somewhere else?

saintly cyclists, maybe I should mention the cyclist that jumped a red light without looking on Monday and caused me to crash my motorbike?
You're not conforming to his stereotype at all by going off on one about cyclists at the earliest opportunity are you?
Some people on push bikes take the piss. You see some equally 'special' filtering skills from a small number of motorcyclists too. Then you get people in cars - like the prat in the Golf who nearly took my wing off on the A10 last night - who try and do the same thing in a car.
So you get tts in all forms of transport. Being a tt is the problem that the guy on that forum has, and it's also the problem the guy who made you crash your bike has. One might argue it's the problem that people who endlessly rant about motorcyclists or cyclists or drivers simply for their choice of transport have too.
