I love the way all the bits of broken headlamp etc. have been swept away just leaving the car impaled on the bollard!

I's the fact that the wheels don't appear to be turned and her angle going in is all wrong. It's as if they forgot to turn the wheel, never mind about stopping.

Now I have for years snapped at PHEA Event start points and said "ooh that'll be one for the bad parking thread" but never really seriously considered doing it.....

Maybe I should

Actually, here's another theory.

The photo was bugging me and I finally figured out why.... Then it just hit me, why didn't the driver try to reverse away from the bollard after hitting it? It would be anyone's first reaction in that situation!

Was the car hit from behind by a hit and run driver?

What, one who's neat enough to sweep up all the debris before doing the 'run' bit? confused

They could have been swept up enough afterwards. Its the fact it's gone with a pretty solid bang into the bollard, so must have had to be a pretty hefty shunt, plus there are no skid marks as surly if shunted there should be some?

Yeah, annoiys the hell out of me how the older folks do stuff like THIS and it gets a minor mention in the news.... But if that had been a young driver it would have been up in everyone's face and caused an uproar amongst local residents.

And another one

Young driver would lose his licence for this (and the above), but the elderly driver will be back on the road as soon as she finds a new car.

Not a big fan of the USA, but at least they've openly recognised that the elderly are a liability on the roads.

Back to parking......... tongue out How angry would you be if THIS were your car?

I like the "freak accident" part of that report, replace "freak accident" with utter incompetence and your half way to getting it right.

One from yesterday... in an empty car park it was far too difficult to find a space so they just left it there instead...

Some people go to extremes to make sure that nobody parks next to them.

Classic McDonalds shot, crappy Saxo in the disabled bay. Burgess Hill branch.

No disabled badges were in view.

Now I could understand it (a little) if the guy owned a 911 etc but!
