There is usually a 4 x 4 parked where the citroen was, and they definately wouldn't get out.

(Pictures in ARI car park)

I can safely say, that if this 4 x 4 was my 1999 4.7 V8 Jeep, that I really don't give a toss aboutsmile. And is loaded with recovery straps and other 4 x 4 crapsmile One way or another it would get outyes
OMG Quinny, I really wanted you to be there somewhere, show these dorks some sense.

This picture was taken about 10 mins ago from my window, there is nothing in front of the car for about 2 car lengths and the driver just landed it where it is and minced off.

Corner, Yes.
Junction, Yes.
Double yellow lines, Yes.
clueless as to why this might be a problem, Yes.

It genuinely scares me that there are people out there on the road that stupid they think its appropriate to park like that...

I could single handedly keep this thread at the top of the forum if I were to photograph and post all the poor parking I see around my house.

This one really did impress me though so I got the camera out.

Never thought I'd end up posting on this. But a friend posted this on facebook, from my old sixth form. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=rm8+1jt&... to get a better idea of this.

Since I've been working at home a bit lately I've noticed all sorts of horrendous parking (I live next to a primary school). Currently it's home time and someone in a silver Picasso (what else?) has managed to park not only on the "SCHOOL - KEEP CLEAR" markings but is also blocking the gap in the railings where the kids will be crossing the road rolleyes

Silly fking cow.

You can't put something like that on this thread and then not give us photographic evidence.

Here's a turfer in use for those who don't know what one is.... They'll shift anything in the right handshehe
You mean Tirfor, and that video shows how not to do it, they are not using the correct handle supplied with the machine, which in turn may overload the equipment as they have a lot more leverage, best case they burst the shear pins, worst case the internal jaws or wire leaving the load to free run back the way it came

Thanks for that...... The idea was to show a piece of recovery equipment in use....... Not provide a full instructional guide of the do's and dont's.....
Of course it's the correct handle, it's called a "Cheeter bar", Tifor's (Or as known 'come alongs', are used extensively in pipe line work at the bottom of the North Sea by commercial divers.

Not necessarily......

Oh and it's TURFERsmile

The HTS cable pullers / turfers have a wide performance spectrum. They can be used to lift, pull or tighten many applications. The set includes calbe puller, handle, and wire rope.

I think it is in the accent, when I used to move steam boilers we called them " tuffters ". I just continued to call them that, because that's what I though they were called. It appears to be all the same thing.
