Sorry, must be my mistake, 74 of the top 100 software companies are in the USA, the EU has 13 of those remaining with 8% of the largest coming from Japan. The article is somewhere to be found, but those are the hard facts. So if you think we're really a challenge to the US at the moment, and you think your pedantic, derogatory comments were justified, then fair enough.

My point was, that we are set to be in a position to challenge the US in the coming years, i.e. have more than a handful of companies in the top 100, unlike the USA with 74.

How this relates to Spyker and other industries, is hopefully they will follow the trend of our software industry.

Why is all this on a Spyker thread..... but just to add something - not only am I englishman in NY with a Spyker but the reason I left was the lack of an IT industry left in the UK. That's all I can really say without insulting anyone.

That makes sense.

They also do replacement bodies for most classics built to order, one of the few places able to hand finish panels to order. Last time i was in there, they had a couple of race spec C, D and E-types, couple of Ferrari's and other exotica, all have new panels done, with Spyker as well its a joy to go in

The point was relating the upturn of this bespoke industry to other industries.

yes it's the handbrake which is a bit awkward to use but frankly I rarely use it -- you don't need the handbrake to slide the car -- but when I do have to park then I have an excuse to grope the wife or elbow one of my kids.
