^^^ What he said. I had ZE912s on the back of my XJ6 and they were utter crap in the wet, not only did it lose traction much easier but once it did it was like bambi on ice. Not within 100 miles of the Vredestein Sportrac 2s that were on it before.

Similarly, at the same time I foolishly bought a set of four in 165/60 R12 for my Mini and they are dreadful on that too. In the dry the original fit from 1996 Pirelli CN35s have a lot more grip, and in the wet it'll lock up the back wheels under all but the most gentle braking. They are so rubbish that even though I've only done 2000 miles on them I'll be throwing them in the bin when the car comes out of hibernation.

Have recently switched from Michelin to Falken for tyres for 'normal' car.

A little over 50% of the price I used to pay and offer very confident driving.
Done this on the Jag as well. Pirelli PZero Assy 160 quid, Falkens 118 quid.

Vredestein are a well kept not so secret.

Brilliant grip wet and dry and all things considered, an astonishingly good wear rate.
