any chance I could have a 993 GT2 whilst you're going shopping?

will be more than happy to pay the original RRP

it thought the spread was pretty even between both due to the FX rates?

Sounds like this could be a good pistonhead challenge...

125 Pistonhead members all pay 1000GBP for the chance to win the Ultimate GTR through buying a standard GTR and using the extra 60k to enhance the cars performance. (changes numbers for variations)

Every member of the competition can have his/her imput on what should be spent on the car.

At the end one lucky winner will win the car. (Raffle, competition, beer drinking....)

Would be a cool idea.

I am certainly in. Where do I sign up? The competition would have to be something involving skill though. I don't fancy my chances too much on a 124-1 raffle. How about a GT5 competition when it comes out? Or a Jega bomb competition? Or this is my favourite one, who evers birthday is closet to 01/04/1986?

Yes IIRC the organiser would need a gaming licence.
The competition would need an eliment of skill which is why best of teh best is a spot the ball comp.

PS I'd be in but can we make it and R8/911 gt3 or a standard GT-r

Cheers smile

I don't do old stters it's true, but of those 2 I'd take the BMW, I just think paying a little over 70% of new price for an 8 year old car is ridiculous.
Lets cut to the chase, how much do you think a Nur is worth, and can you find any examples for sale anywhere near that figure you have in mind?
No idea what a Nur is, but then I like to drive not play Gran Tourismo.

An 8 year old Nissan is worth about £9k if it's not been messed to death with, which they all have.

Personaly I always think estates are much cooler than saloons, hence the RS4 Avant, saloons are cheaper.

And there are no more scary bills on the Ferrari than on the Nissan with the grenade up front.

HTH.
A "Nur" is the special edition last of the line R34 GTR.

If you can find me a straight car in an acceptable condition for £9k I'll buy it right now.

I also have a little list of other desireable cars at rock bottom prices:

Sierra RS500 - £200, no more, it's a 22 year old Ford Sierra.
e30 M3 - £5000, 964RS £20,000 (well that's what they were five years ago and prices only go down Bertie).
I wouldn't give you £50 for the Sierra!

Just had a look at 993 GT2s, unbelievable, but then according to the ad on here there were only 13 RHD ever made so somewhat rarer than the "Nur."

See, I've even got the lingo down now! biggrin
