I wonder how many non-PH people will buy that book, hoping it will give them tips on how to get there 335D mapped.
...Only to realise it's some obnoxious munter blabbing on about how his car is faster than an M3.
(Sorry. Just had to. There is a thread on passionford.com with the same guy in there. It revived the memory. )
I shall be getting the OH to order me one for Xmas. Looks brill.

It'll be the people who buy it for advice on house trained pachyderm import/export tactics that I'm worried about....Only to realise it's some obnoxious munter blabbing on about how his car is faster than an M3.

clubcard points use ahoy!
I fear though, gents, that you may have missed some key points;
1- You don't make any reference in your schpiel relating to a fold out map of some sort. I assume therefore that this cannot be remapped, and thus this book will officially be not quite as good as a 335d.
2- Given your claimed exclusivity, it seems suspiciously well priced. Will there be a host of special editions with glittery covers? Or should those more well off members await the version with a faux-carbon cover and titanium staples - I assume to be called the 2009 PH Literary Frivolities Annual (spev-V) retailing at £30 and coming with a free advanced reading course, or perhaps some racy bi-focals and reading mitts.
3- How do you expect to market an automotive book in this day and age without putting it on the passenger seat of something pedestrian and setting a ring time? I wont read anything that hasn't done the ring in under 27 minutes, and neither should you.

We're just waiting for the ostrich chicks to hatch before we announce the special edition. Ostrich skin is much softer to the touch if you can skin them with an ivory razor before they eat solid food, but it makes it very expensive to produce.

Presumably PH couldn't include classic threads such as Lindylops' rants because as the butt of 'teh MENTAL' jokes she'd never give permission. Assuming permission is needed (legally) then in time for next year's publication maybe you ought to force us all to agree to allow you to use our forum posts in any way you choose.
Just a thought. Or perhaps it's not that kind of book.
I'd have thought anything you post here becomes the property of PH/Haymarket the moment you click "submit".Just a thought. Or perhaps it's not that kind of book.
