Yes, this is rather amusing too

"I live in a cul de sac with a steep hilly bit right at the end of my drive which is like a fking ice rink at the moment. I'm currently playing a game of, spot the accident which is about to happen. "

But not your own accident it seems ! smile

Bearing in mind that 'grit' isn't some miracle wonder solution to the problem and doesn't single handedly solve the problem of snow compacted into ice.

I'm used to driving in low grip conditions see my previous post on outdoor kart tracks on slicks. The bit of road I slipped on was beyond anything I've ever experienced. I've checked the car and it's not as bad as I thought the wheel has popped off of the wishbone at the bottom. I'm the first to take the piss when people drive like s on this condition. But I really could have done nothing to stop this as soon as I turned in. I know I was the one driving but I wouldve thought the council could have made more of an effort on a road which was reported as being particularly bad. It's not like it's a dead end or anything. I guess it's karma for my piss taking yesterday.

When I took the wheel off my Golf, I had to hit the kerb at nearly 30mph. I think the OP is being conservative with the truth.

Comedy. Nob'ed crashes his car and automatically tries to find someone else to blame. I love this country.

That would be the cat that jumped out of the way of the red light jumping cyclist?

Probably a man with a red flag and a bucket of grit walking in front of him.
