Crashed my car on an untreated road

I live in a cul de sac with a steep hilly bit right at the end of my drive which is like a fking ice rink at the moment. I'm currently playing a game of, spot the accident which is about to happen. So far I've seen 1 tt in a corsa barrel down and completely destroy the guy at the bottom of the hills wall, and I've just seen some tt in a citroen C2 barrel down the hill and wipe out the brand new BMW 3 series parked just round the corner at the bottom of the hill. Why are people such thick wkers when it comes to these stty conditions. I'm going to ignore the next inevitable crash because I'm already witness 1 on 2 insurance claims.
This just had to be quoted in full.....Edited by GT03ROB on Wednesday 23 December 14:19

'man up' you're responsible for your own actions, yes the council should do more but also you were in control (or not) of the car.
Sorry if that sounds harsh.
I think you need to reword it to "The council COULD do more", but quite frankly I dont want to pay another £50 a year for the possibility of a little snow.. Sorry if that sounds harsh.
Its not harsh to say that you were driving without due car and attention and clearly were not reading the road adequately.
The only blame here can be laid on the driver and all these people complaining about councils and gritters need to have a reality check.

Oil AND Ice, probably swerved for a biker filtering as well robuk said:

On my way to the dentist this morning and the main roads are closed / blocked. I turn into Leicester road near hill lane in Southampton only to find a zero grip sheet ice with oil on it surface and a high curb which removed my front wheel. I want to rip the useless fking council a new ahole for failing to do anything grit wise on a road which has apparently seen 6 accidents in 2 days. I was literaly crawling around at 5 mph with a Car with awd and I couldn't do a fking thing to stop it. Good job there were no parked cars or people around and the slow speed means the damage isn't too bad. WTF DO WE PAY OUR fkING COUNCIL TAX FOR.
Is your dentist any good and reasonably priced?A driving God...

In a DCCD equipped scoob you want to have the diff set to open (the green light on the display or dial fully back). Then give it 6000 RPM and drop the clutch and give it full steering lock. when the back starts to come round put your foot down and roll the diff wheel forward. You'll be spinning round quite quickly pretty much on the spot until you ; vomit, the clutch fails, the tyres let go, or the transmission breaks. You can just dip the clutch to make it all stop if you're a big ghey.
