I have been out on my front drive washing my car today. I was watching the world go by and chatting with the neighbours as you do and it occurred to me that the street on which I live is home to quite a few cars with 'PH' appeal.

Despite being quite a compact street with not that many houses, we have the following:

BMW Z4 M Coupe (mine)
Nissan 350Z
E30 BMW 318 Coupe (tidy)
E39 BMW 540i (bargain barge-tastic)
E46 BMW 323i Coupe (immaculate weekend toy for retired gent)
TVR Griffith (lovely)
Jensen GT (lovely)
Lotus Sunbeam (currently being restored, not roadworthy yet)
Peugeot 206 GTI
Audi TT Mk2 (meh but looks quite sharp in white)

And last but not least, not one but two Mazda MX-5s.

So, not a particularly expensive selection, but cars that are certainly dripping with 'PH' cred.

So how's your street then? Any gems, or overloaded with VAG TDi flotsam as much of the UK seems to be nowadays?

(edited to add one I forgot about)

Mine is full of fairly average rep-mobiles and city-hatchbacks.

We do, however, have a Focus ST and Corsa VXR (same house!), a 996 Carrera, and Maserati GranSport...

My sister's, a street of just 20 houses, has four MX-5s, and an Audi Quattro!

Crap.

Theres my Mazda.

Fella a few doors up used to have an S2000, now has one of the nicest Boxsters Ive seen, 987 's, BBS style wheels, Silver with blue hood.

Another fella has an S3. Other than that, a sea of reps-cars, MPV's and Vauxhall Corsa's.

Crap. Mostly automotive white goods. The only interesting cars (other than mine!) are a couple of Mk.2 MX-5s which are posing cars (one has a hardtop fitted all year round) and a Mitsubishi Warrior thing. Other than that it's MPVs, Astras, Hyundais, Peugeot 308s, Kias. yuck

Only mine and the oh's car have PH appeal unfortunately... Most others are of the Blue Rinse persuasion... Rest can be found within the "Boring what car?" type threads...

My Z4, a mark 2 MX5, a Civic Type S and a Celica. Pretty rubbish really. All the rest of company car fodder, "premium" diesels in the main.

Round the corner though, theres a small apartment block with a purple RS6 Avant. Burbly Burbly!!

Edit - the house that owns the MX5 also has a C3 Pluriel. In green! Its 03 as well so I bet they bought it new.

The neighbor to the left has got a Lexus 4x4 thing, rarely uses it as well as a red Micra, the other just up has a nice garage; in it you have an RR Sport, 2 freelanders (one for the the dog and one for no animals) and in the garage there is a white Lambo that he has just taken delivery of a couple of months ago. In my time here he has also had Porches of some description and a couple of Fezzas.

For the rest here a Mini Cooper S, Suzuki bike 650 and a Renault modus for shopping. The rest of the street, micras and Vauxhall rep mobiles.

Mine's very un-PH, even my own effort is weak!

There's one house with two Xsara Picassos, in the same colour, same reg!

Also I counted 12 Fords parked in a continuous line along the road one day, not a single one was interesting
