I've owned a GTR.

TVR is much more special. Hands down.

As an only car. GTR. No brainer.

Personally, not being really sure whether a trip to XX would result in coming back on a truck takes away a LOT of the gloss. As will the fist time you have to go somewhere on a cold, wet, miserable evening. Then you'll enjoy things like A/C and heating that works, and decent wipers and visibility, and decent traction and comfort.
Sagaris is very different to a Tuscan, wink

Because the speed six is made of better cheese?
Or it's devoid of TVR niggles like baking your feet or the gear knob getting incredibly hot after a long drive?

Don't get me wrong, I loved my tuscan and I'd love a Sag.
But not as an only car.

Must be as my Sagaris has 46k on the clock with no rebuild wink

You will find that a Sagaris is so much better than the 2000 Tuscan you had and not only in build quality.

You may well be right. 46k and no rebuild is jolly good going.
I do miss my TVR.

Just been reading through this thread, the OP wasn't too sure whether to get the Sag or the GTR. He decides to get the Sag and then ends up buying a Lotus Evora?

Can i ask a very simple question...

WHY?

TVR all day long...Sags just look epic, they get a full on stop and stare....a GTR gets a cursory glance and nod of approval.

"It would be your only car. It would be used for everything. Running costs, useable, price, looks.. etc"

I'd say that the OP decided on a car that has traits of both the Sagaris and the GTR.

Good choice IMO

I think the more pertinent question is why he sold the Gallardo.

The Saggaris is brutal but.. part of me just looks it and thinks it's plasticy and will probably spontaneously combust with me driving it, or try and kill me on some mildly damp roads.

The GTR would fill me with confidence as a drivers car. The TVR would fill me with dread. I suppose it depends what you want from your car but, for these reasons, I'd go for the GTR smile

Do love the look of the Saggaris though.. a proper "fk you!" to the health and safety & eco brigades!

But he also says he want be using it for commuting so it's really a weekend car then.

Sag is epic but you you still have to take stuff to the tip, sit in traffic etc. So got to be GTR.

I'm a fan of both Nissan and TVR.

GTR is an amazing piece of engineering but I would go for the Sag everytime.

Long live TVR
