It's a Vauxhall. 95% of Astra F & G, Vectra B and Corsa B that have misty windows have pollen filters that have never been changed. With a clear pollen filter, even a fairly large leak can be dealt with by the heater.

Service schedule says every 4 years, ideally they need done annually.

Condensation is obviously caused by water in the car - getting heated and the being allowed to cool on cold serfaces like windows when you turn the car off.

A useful trick is to open both front windows for about a min or 2 before you park up .. allowing any heat to escape. Also turn off the heater.

That allows the hot steams air out.

Obviously the trick does not work when it's raining..

Like the kitty litter idea !

Brilliant solution - my DD does exactly this after having a window smashed during the rainy weather and I didn't want to be spending loads on dehumidifiers. Have to get me some cat litter I think. Wonder if any brands are better than others?
