I'll have a Chimaera with Honda build quality and reliability please biggrin
rolleyes
I bought my Chimaera before my friend bought his S2000 (about 3 years ago), so far he's had a new gearbox, clutch and ECU troubles. I've had a new battery.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it Garlic clap

Fair enough, but if you are suggesting with the little rolly eyes that we should extrapolate out your experience and decide that TVRs are more reliable than Hondas... Well, I don't think you've got a glittering career in bookmaking ahead of you.

Oh nice car collection btw Garlick, i do feel that if you ever sell any of these, there is going to be alot of interest from PH members after reading the amounts that you spend on them!!

C'mon, I think if TVRs were as reliable as Hondas this would still be a TVR fan site and Nikolai would still be playing with his Dinkys.

TVRs are what they are - gloriously loud, brash, quick, english and unreliable. C'est la vie - I'd still buy a Speed Six in a heartbeat, given a trust fund.

Great choice of Chimaera Garlick- lovely colour scheme. I too got a sports exhaust fitted to my chim which sounds superb although my girlfriend hates it. I expect she'll hate it even more when we drive to tuscany soon!

The Porsche is about 20 years old - metal, plastic and rubber only lasts a certain period of time :-)

Just re-read the issue with the 944 vs the TVR by Garlick and I think the TVR looses surely?

TVR - exhaust manifold, lights, window wipers and boot release.
Porsche - leaves and gunk clogging up drainage holes.

Hmmmm I think Porsche wins :-)

What a fine, fine collection of motor cars. I've owned all of them at one time or another, but sadly not at the same time (TVR and Disco at the moment). I commend your taste.
