It is an ex factory car, you are correct and I have already chatted with LRUK. Good spot 
The car is has metallic paint and has (working) AC too. Apparently it was specced with leather at the time of reg and was used by one of the directors for his daily commute and he simply liked a manual transmission. In the end LRUK swapped the interior for velour, but they couldn't confirm why that was done or when.
After that it ended up at Harwoods of Croydon, and most of the bills I have are from there totalling many thousands of pounds. I'm pleased to say that the dealer sticker and keyfob are still present today.
