There is one rotting near me right next to a W124 diesel. The old boy who owns them doesn't drive any more but likes to sit in them and start them up!

Having owned an 'Audi Porsche' I'm pretty keen on the W124 500E and was considering one in place of the RS2 when I decided (wrongly) to go all heavy oil.

That silver 500E is tempting me to replace my Z4MC. Exactly how ruinous would it be to run one of those, preferably daily? Are we talking E34 M5 major economy bankrupting or merely E39 M5 "go cap in hand to the missus" costly??

Just picked up a 500e on Monday from London.

It's been stored for a couple of years, it's having a good going over at the moment then a mot.

Can't believe all the parts i require for the car are still available from Mercedes, thought some are coming from Germany.

Will take some photo's at the weekend and post them.

I am going to use it as a every day car, Discovery 3 has been sold a being collected on saturday, so i will use my 560 sec til mot is done on 500e

Are their many 500 about anymore, surley quite a few must have been stolen/smashed up over the years.

My car was sold 4/5 years ago by Charles Ironside then featured in the the Mercedes magazine, I will have to climb into loft and see if i have any back issues
