Just been reading they plan to remake Back to the future.

http://www.fusedfilm.com/2009/04/back-to-the-futur...

Which got me thinking, what car would you like to see replace the mighty Delorean?

I'm guessing it will be replaced with a mustang or something.

Over to you, PH!

Nothing. Nor any could any of the actors be suitably replaced.

I want to come up with a car concept that will really explode on-screen and give a whole new experience that a Delorean couldn’t do nowadays. I have been thinking of possibly a Hummer that reaches 44 miles per hour instead of 88, and it’s a hybrid one so that will comment on today’s “go green” message,” says Fedak, “Also I have always been a fan of Mac and Apple stuff, so I am already redesigning the ‘flux capacitor’ to look smaller and more aesthetic, more like a ‘nano accelerator’ – it will look a lot like an I-pod nano type thing but still embody the same characteristics and functions of the ‘flux capacitor’.”

Well if your going to use a Hummer at 44MPH i think its pointless.

Use a digital dash Corvette at 88MPH

Yet another cynical and truly pointless remake. I bet it's st, too.

A G-Whizz would be apt.

Well, you'll be looking for an innovative but somewhat underpowered British built sports car with a V6 in the back. I understand the folks in Norfolk may have just the thing....

A Tesla.

With an available 1.21 gigawatts it might extend to a 3 or even 4 mile range.

Good timing as the DMC Delorean's are being remade again. I reckon though, much like the A-team remake on the list of things, it won't be the same as the originals.

Why are they remaking this?

Are they going to remake every single cartoon/tv prog/film from the 80s to try and rape as much cash as possible from it? frown

The A-Team remake should be quite a film. The cast is strong....Liam Neesan as John Hannibal Smith and Bradley Cooper as Faceman. Jessica Biel too! The original van is driven by Rampage Jackson 'B A' Baracus.

Strong screenplay and good money too frm the studio.

Back to the Future like Top Gun, Risky Business and Ferris Buellers Day Off should always remain untouched. Some films cannot be remade, some are better (Batman Returns) if taken in a new direction.
