Whenever I see an Audi I think the owner is also the kind of person that was the first to get a 60' plasma TV, the first to get an iphone, probably has a huge Canon camera with massive lenses ( that he does'nt really know how to use ) and plays golf. A lot of golf. And he's a member of Fitness First. And he cleans the car every week using one of those yellow karcher jet sprays. He probably owns a bluetooth phone headset. He thought Avatar was good.

He got the car on a PCP. In the old days, he would have remortgaged the house to fund the deposit.
Nope, I still use an old Sony Wega as it works perfectly well, I got an iPhone a year or so after they were available, I do have a Canon DSLR, but I know how to use it properly (been a photographer for a long long time) and I have never, ever played golf. I played minigolf once on holiday. I am not, and never have been a member of FF. I wash my car a few times a year to remind myself what colour it is and I have never owned or used a bluetooth headset. Avatar was clever, technically impressive, long, predictable and boring.

I bought the car outright.

Sorry.

John.

Please expand on this. Would like to find out what PH thinks the average RS / S line Audi driver is like.

Whenever I see an Audi I think the owner is also the kind of person that was the

  • First to get a 60' plasma TV,
  • First to get an iphone,
  • Probably has a huge Canon camera with massive lenses ( that he doesn’t really know how to use )
  • Plays golf. A lot of golf.
  • Member of Fitness First. (Or most likely David Lloyds with the racket subscription although doesn’t use it)
  • Cleans the car every week using one of those yellow karcher jet sprays and has a foam lance (cause he read it on a detailing forum that it is a must for pre wash prep)
  • Owns a Bluetooth phone headset.
  • He thought Avatar was good.
  • Has an expensive Italian Coffee Maker
  • Plays squash with work colleagues
  • Goes to starbucks when the coffee is just as nice in the office kitchen

Seems to forget that alot of the components in his car can be found in a Skoda. even the key fob...te he.

Thinks people are impressed with his lack of imagination on life as per above.

Clever intelligent and witty, well they seem to think so?

Seem to be in a rush to go nowhere quickly.

Oh dear, it seems some of us are more interested in perceived image rather than the car frown

Do you really think anyone actually cares?

I can't believe there is so much hate for a 4wd, rear biased, 450bhp V8 coupe that no-one has even driven yet...

And here i was thinking i was on a petrolheads site...

This does look like a good car to me, probably best of the RS bunch in terms of it being good looking. To me it looks like a modern version of the old Audi Quattro what with the long shape and that, albeit without the 5 pot, the V8 probably makes up for it!!

I think someone forgot:

"Second car is a 9 year old allroad in need a long service and normally full of tools, dogs, kitchen sinks etc."

At least it could fit the 60" plasma and still have room for the rest of the shopping tongue out
