RE: Official Pics: Lexus CT 200h Hybrid Hatch
Discussion
Based on the concept, I'd all but decided I would replace my 120d with one of these. Great styling, low company car tax thanks to hybrid power, (relative) exclusivity compared to the obvious German rivals, and most importantly RWD and the promise of half decent dynamics.
The production car is an overwhelming dissapointment, and one I wouldnt even consider now.

THIS LOOKS MUCH BETTER !It is actually on a different planet. It is clean, well executed and it is close to Volkswagen design quality, mind you. (But who wonders, the chief designer comes from Audi)
Toyota design has lost it completely, I think.
It's sort of: 'Sorry, we have no idea!' (But we did something anyway)
Toyota/Lexus still seems to think as long as it does not break down it is good enough.
Times have moved on, guys!

Think it looks a bit bland tbh. The wheels look tiny at the back no?
I'd imagine that the wheels are at least 15"ers (well it'll need big discs to haul up the no doubt near 2ton weight, as well as overcome the potential sticking throttle...)- it's just that the body is so hideously bulbous. Oh dear Some pretty harsh comments on this thread which, in the context of the photos, are understandable.
However, standing here in Geneva looking at the car in the metal - its actually a hell of a lot better than they imply.
Of course, the styling is more conservative than the concept - but the car needs to appeal to a mainstream audience (and that means mostly not the average PH car nut )
It's certainly better looking than a 1 series and, being hybrid, will make a compelling user chooser choice.
So reserve damnation until you've seen it - I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I was
