I love the look, its refreshing seeing people (usually younger folk) modify motors on the cheap and get creative with it. Iits better than seeing a load of saxo's, corsas and nova's with 20k soundsystems, flip paint and body kits.... its a bit of a rebelion and certainly turns heads.
I had a stab at it with my old scirocco, loved it and especially being able to work on it myself for relatively low costs.
and some others....
and finally what we did to my friends pug (dont worry, it was heading to the scrappy and never made it on the roads like this)

I can't find them, but somewhere on PH (possibly the early 'Supercars Spotted, some rarities' threads) there's a picture of a very well used and abused early 911 languishing in London.
It looks fantastic largely because it looks naturally dilapidated unlike the original two examples on this thread.

Very big in the VW world; I've seen a lot of examples at VW Action (Golfs, Camper Vans etc), but it's not a look I "get". But, each to their own and all that.
There's a Mk2 Scirocco which is half rat/half standard, which is rather odd. I'll see if I can dig out some pictures.

I Like that. The lustre in the paint on the RHS (LHS in the pic obviously) is amazing, but I suppose the contrast wouldn't have worked so well without itThere's a Mk2 Scirocco which is half rat/half standard, which is rather odd. I'll see if I can dig out some pictures.
