I thought that was a staged picture, however the tyre haze in the background makes it believable.

As good as they are to look at, the ones that always irritate me slightly are the EVO (or similar) magazine shots showing some car or other sideways, with the road they are driving on completely covered in their marks from the previous attempts. The published shot, therefore, being the chosen frame out of 2 rolls of 35mm.

Impressive shots are like the Burns / Doohan / Villeneuve ones already posted where they are not rehersed (all be it with circuit racing there is always a couple of "sighting passes").
