The only surprising thing there is that there wasn't another one doing exactly the same thing at the same time on the bend ahead in the opposite direction and they still would have missed each other easily.

Don't know about "extreme" cornering, but here is my experience of extremely bad cornering!

I watched a bit of one of the practice sessions for the US race. And he just seemed to be doing things that were not strictly within the laws of physics, and getting away with it. It feels like raw talent and youth burning at 300%. Hopefully as the youth minimises he can replace it with experience and keep the speed....or he's going to have a very big crash in a few years!

Yip saw that too, I also saw him totally loose the front end and then pull it back during qualifying. It's not just luck...
