It might just be me.... but dont some of those panel gaps and general finish look a little amateur? Im all for the concept, i just hope in final production trim it looks a little more 'finished'. Its going to be a busy 4 days!
Not just you, the panel gaps around the rear look a bit much to my eyes too.

I absolutely adore this car, however it needs the following doing to it.

1. Make the front slightly less Lotus
2. Change standard Lotus filler cap
3. Extend the engine hatch and make a feature of whatever monster lives in there
4. Tidy the rear around the exit of the exhausts

If this thing shares similar handling characteristics and reliability of an Exige I would buy one - let's hope for a sensible price. smile

That is gorgeous.

Anyone want to hazard a guess as to how much these cost?

Exactly. This isn't Rinspeed. Expecting to be able to buy a real engineered product from John 'The Shyster' Hennessey is a bit much. He may be capable of building a 1-off, but production of something you'd want to buy? Hardly likely.

Prediction: You'll never be able to buy one of these. Just another 'prototype' which will be relegated to the dustbin of half-ass engineered 'super' car history.

Did you manage to throw all the rattles out? Might be an idea to have a quick rummage just in case you missed one...

I'd be twice as interested if it had half the power. This will be just another barely-in-existence trophy for billionaires. What hennessey has done here, the significant part, is mate the lightest production car chassis with an over-the-top version of the world's most ubiquitous motor, at least at anywhere near this displacement. Is it not obvious that what would be best for the world would be to license the modified chassis to some company willing to sell it as a high volume kit and let them install their own chevy v8? At ~2300 lbs, an ls1 with 100,000 miles us probably available for only a thousand bucks or so, and with even an ill condition, it'll produce well over 300 hp and 350 lbft. And then an owner could buy and love his ott supercar, and when he could afford it, could take it up the performance ladder when money allows. I'm starting to come out of my youthful pro- supercar delusions. Who really wants fringe car manufacturers spending their time on these never-to-be-seen-again cars which will only dominate headlines and then never are actually within reach of the average hoon? Boooo. I would like one and I can't have one. So phooey on it all. I could at least remotely get my hands on a tesla or a rossion someday.

They are between £150-200k depending on specification. They are lighter than an exige.

I think your caps lock is stuck on.
Really, I can understand the "it's a bit pointless" argument, but so is everything that's halfway fun. I fail to see the Halfords reference too.
I'll save the final judgement for when someone finally drives it but there we are.

As a side note, I bet there's more than two deposits on them. Just give a decent warning before you show the junk, as I don't wanna be around when it happens.
